This Flag represents 15million Somalian all over the World. So when uneducated Somalilanders burn the Flag it's uncalled for if I may be it nicely. From Wikipedia, The flag of Somalia was adopted on October 12, 1954. It was designed by Mohammed Awale Liban, intended to be used for British Somaliland. Upon reunification of Italian and British Somaliland, the flag was used for the Somali Democratic Republic. According to Mr. Liban, the flag is intended to look like the flag of the United Nations. It was the United Nations that helped Somalia gain independence from Italy, and the flag was adopted in honour of them. The five edges of star symbolize the five areas where Somalis live. These five places are British Somaliland, Italian Somaliland, French Somaliland (Djibouti), ****** (Ethiopia) and Northern Frontier District, controlled by Kenya.
  3. Burning our [somali] flag by the so called selfdeclared somaliland is not going to make any difference to your regnition, it will only inflame the situation we are in at the moment. The ****** who did that today should grow up! These so called Somalilander extremist are just wild beasts and do not know how to act with dignity. They will never be successful in their attempt to divide the republic because overwhelming majority of those reside in that part of Somalia want to remain with their brothers. All Somalilanders who visit this page have to apologize the burning Somali FLAG in the mass demonstration at Beerta Xuriyadda in Hargeysa on behalv of the Somaliland people and their useless Riyaale, i did not hear any one who condemn this act criminalism and that means they agree, i can not understand why some of us have to burn our beloved flag sorry for them and that is not the way you Somalilanders can get recognization sorry again!
  4. Back to the topic:Puntland interior minister arrives in LA SOOL. Puntland is making it's presents felt just what is needed in that part of Puntland State of Somalia.
  5. Finally the Government is taking the steps needed to remove this guy, Who doesn't seem to understand his job. He acts like he is the President of Somalia. Who on Earth Asked him to Travel around the world, that isn't part of his job. He has been gone from Baidoa now for 2 months and half for what reason? He is the Speaker of Parliament. -------------------------------------------------- Mogadishu, Somalia (AFP) - Somali lawmakers were Tuesday planning to vote out the maverick parliament speaker who brokered unauthorised talks with the now-vanquished Islamist movement last November. The MPs, gathered at the government's provisional base in Baidoa, said they would present a motion Wednesday to remove Sharif Hassan Sheikh Aden, whose overtures to the Islamists were frowned upon by the weak transitional government after their own negotiations collapsed the same month. "I think many members of parliament are in favour of the motion. I can tell you there are more than 100 MPs who are pleased with the motion," said Madobe Nunow, an MP. "It will be passed," he told AFP from the central town of Baidoa, which is home to the 275-member clan-based assembly. According to the country's transitional charter, the motion has to be approved by a simple majority of members present during debate. "The motion has not yet been presented in the parliament. But if this motion is passed the speaker will lose his post because he is out of the country representing nobody," said Osman Elmi Boqore, the second deputy speaker. Aden, an influential politician, is currently in Brussels to meet officials from the Somalia Contact Group, an international panel that is rallying world support for efforts aimed at restoring lasting peace in the lawless African nation. Somali watchers have said that a possible ouster of Aden would further polarise the government and parliament, whose formation is based on a complex power-sharing alliance among fractious clans. Aden was seen as a factor for the participation of the large ****** clan - dominant in the capital Mogadishu - in the govenment of President Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed, himself from the ***** clan. In November, Aden made an unauthorised trip to Mogadishu to meet the Islamists in a bid to breathe life into the talks that collapsed earlier the same month. The talks failed after the Islamists insisted that Ethiopian troops deployed to back the government withdraw before opening the talks, a move the government rejected. The talks were the third round after previous accords were violated by both sides. The Islamists, who were recently defeated after heavy fighting with the Ethiopia-backed Somali government forces, had seized Mogadishu in June and rapidly expanded territory, further undermining the authority of the government. But since their ouster from Mogadishu, the seaside city has seen a surge in violence, some fatal, as residents rally in protests against the presence of the Ethiopian forces in the town since last month. Who is this "we" you speak of? Is it your qabil, or the dowladiid boys of SOL. 16. ^^^ Which war-lords are you talking about? Cause the war-lords I know don't have any power today. They begged the Government to allow them to enter Mogdishu so they can see their families again and Geedi has allowed that and just that. The War-lord era is not back but real Dowladnimo is returning.
  17. Originally posted by bambo: Radmiir sxb what can the intellectuals do when Abdulahi brough back the warlords , that they kicked out sxb .......... Martial law   , Martial is only effective at the port and airport only were tigrey troops are The warlords are Somali after all so why not let them return to their homeland but they are not allowed to arm themselves and recruit militias. Mogdishu is under the Dowlad now!!! After today Martial Law will be used throughtout Mogdishu is my guess.

Nah I don't think they should be wiped out, They are our beloved brothers and sisters, but Intellectuals in Mogadishu need to intervene before the situation gets out of control. The Qabil that lives in South Mogadishu needs to think twice before They start unnecessary violence.
  19. Intellectuals in Mogadishu need to intervene before the situation gets out of control. The Qabil that lives in South Mogadishu needs to think twice before They start unnecessary violence. Have they forgotten there is a Material Law in Place, In other words Marshal Law. Or has it not been declared yet? These little kides need to be taken out of Mogadishu Street cause once the Material Law is in Place they will all be KILLED!!! -------------------------------------------------- Two people were reported killed as hundreds of Somalis took to the streets of Mogadishu on Saturday to protest against Ethiopia's military presence in their country. Protesters gathered at Tribunka Square in the capital, Mogadishu, where they burned cars, threw stones and chanted "Down with Ethiopia." Many also denounced the government's disarmament plan as unfair, saying it only targeted people in Mogadishu. Abdirahman Dinari, spokesman for the two-year-old, UN-backed transitional government, told the Associated Press on Saturday that plans to forcibly disarm the city this week have been delayed "until an unspecified time." The protest came a day after al-Qaeda's deputy leader called on Muslim militants to attack Ethiopian troops, who helped government forces chase Somalia's Islamic militia from the capital last week. Some Islamic fighters hiding in Mogadishu said they would heed Ayman al-Zawahri's call for guerrilla attacks and suicide bombings against Ethiopian troops. Gunfire broke out during the demonstration, but it was not immediately clear what set off the violence. A nurse at Medina Hospital said a government soldier was killed when his own hand grenade exploded accidentally. Dr. Dahir Mohamud at the same hospital said a 13-year-old boy was killed by bullets, and the hospital was treating 17 other people wounded by gunshots. The ease with which Somalis can get weapons is a major problem in this chaotic African nation, which has not had an effective government since clan-based warlords toppled a military dictatorship in 1991 and plunged the country into anarchy. Government troops, backed by the Ethiopian military, routed the Islamic militia from much of southern Somalia last week. Many of the militiamen are now besieged at the southernmost tip of Somalia, but the government estimates 3,500 fighters are hiding out in Mogadishu. Ethiopian soldiers, tanks and warplanes intervened Dec. 24 in support of the interim Somali government, which at the time controlled only the western town of Baidoa. But Ethiopia's government wants to pull out in a few weeks, saying it cannot afford to keep its troops in Somalia. The government is trying to train and expand its own military and police while an international diplomatic effort seeks to put a foreign peacekeeping force in place.
  20. What's more interesting is which side of the city the protests are taking place. Wa South Mogdishu, have you guys asked you selfs why not the North? We can all can see the qabil that lost power in Mogdishu is pissed and everyone knows who they are. Don't like the idea of the Government backing down from these fools they should get killed if they don't move out of the way!!! We don't have time to waste on dowladiid anymore, where every they are they should be taken care off.
