    As Roma once again showed Real are nothing special, just a shame we had Pannuci on the pitch ( am wondering why the wasnt a coin throwen at the bumbling bafoon ). Arsenal faltered, whilst chelsea won again.

    well this is certainly a relief issue for those of us stuck on this grey island, especially with the dark short and cold winter months ahead.

     

    Just a nice cup of tea, agree-able company ( footie hooligans) and the relief operation will be successfull.

    It has so far proved to be a welcomed relief from the mediocre football i've had to endure from the Match of teh day.

     

    The mighty milan drew away to new boy's livorno and then we beaten at home to lowly messina.

     

    Whilst Parlemo got deserved away draws at Inter and Juventus.

     

    Messina also 3 days before that herioc away win at the San siro stadium, beat As Roma 4 - 3 at home and alongside Lecce are currently on 8 points just 2 shy of Juventus and 1 infornt of milan & Lazio and a further 2 infornt of Inter. Remarkable Parma lie bottom of the table with just 2 draws from their opening 4 games, such is the standard of competition in the league.

    so far only 2 out of the 7 big sisters ( highlighted below) have managed to make it into the top four, highliting the explosive start the new boys to Seria A have made.

    There’s actually a national ‘Book Start’ day in the UK next Friday 8th October 2004. So it would be great for people to try and promote this to the Somali community,

    I think you have pretty much answered your Q for yourself albeit mentioning the benefits that you will derive from the gap and not knowing what possible pot holes lay in wait for you.

     

    I myself didnt take a gap year, but with the benefit of hindsight i would have. Nowdays a degree is not a goldstandard anymore so u need that extra bit to make you stand out even if you achieve a 1st class grade. Besides the break will like you stated give you the oppotunity to do other things and break up the montonus life style of school school school.

     

    The other danger you mention is also quite true i myself suffered from mental fatigue and i just about scraped past first time redface.gif . So you might come back from your Gap year brimming with energy and a thirst to do well, and perhaps a firm idea as to where you want your studies to take you into.

    What happened Winger? well our board members remain unfortunately. You would have thougth they would have learned from recent leasons at Milan towards the end of last season, and the abandoned game against Lazio, but they continue to hide the heads in the sand hoping for the best. Luis i hope so to bruv. I hope the kick in the teeth that would be expulsion from the CL would force the administration to change the way to run teh club and introduce more disipline and rigor to the football club, Quite simple we got to many Bad examples that are mirrored by the Supports behaviour.

     

    Am just glad we got Voller in charge of teh team, i am confident he wont tolerate any prima-dona behaviours from anyone including cassano or totti and thats what roma need right now if this season is not to be a complete and utter disastor

    Execpt for an embarrasing Episode when i first arrived here so many years ago. It was bitterly cold and me (aged 9 then) and my brother had just started school and the only decent jackets that my Parents found were Pink puffer jackets the horro redface.gif

    Having Just enjoyed a Short Stay in Mn Minneapolis i must give it a thumb's up.

     

    Its Public transport system isnt as developed as i would have liked (come from london) but otherwise it was certainly clean, spacious and had some interesting Locals ;):D

    Ahh any temptations to take detour's were quickly dismissed by the weight of my Baggage redface.gif , and bro for £7m De Foe could have been yours but the Departed Houllier decided to splash £14m on a player who is looking distinctly out of place in the premership lol oh well he scored for Le_Frog's mid-week so he might yet still find his feet.

     

    Group C is not as tough as tough as it looks as Bayern are strugglin in the Bunda's Liga yet again, a Fact confirmed by the 4 - 1 Drubbing at the Hands of Bayer (In roma's group :rolleyes: ) plus Ajax have lost ibrahimavich whilst Happo should prove to be the wipping boy's of the group.

     

    Bremen champions of Germany and Valencia Champions of Spain mixed in with a rejuvenated International and Anderlect looks a stronger challange.

    I disagree bro :D

     

    I think Groups B G F are the strongest. But it should be a very strong and entertaing Champions League this year.

     

    Milan v Barca, Valencia v Inter, Bayern v Juve, and Roma v Real are the draw's of the first round for me.
