1st Annual Somali Appeal Project is a temporary coalition which brings together Somali residents in the UK and other UK based Somali organizations in an effort to facilitate the collection of funds for the purpose of assisting poverty stricken Somalis. The initiative is focusing on the funds raised reaching people in dire need in refugee camps, internally displaced camps and specialized facilities such as orphanages. The appeal aims to raise £50,000 by organizing a three day event which would be categorized as follows: 1- On Saturday 21st November 2009, the coalition will organize a full day event. More than 600 guests are expected to attend and participate in a variety of discussions and activities through out the day. There would be speeches from respected members of the community and aid agencies to highlight the plight of the Somali people facing the adversities of civil war. 2- On 28th which would coincide with the blessed day of Eid-Al-Adha, the coalition with organize an out door collections in mosques, community centers and other meeting points frequented by Somalis in the London and its surroundings. As well as a fun day out event for families. 3- On the 5th December 2009, the coalition intends to organize a live television show through a Somali TV channel which is based in London. The show would be broadcasted to more than 30 countries across Europe, North America, Middle East, Asia and Africa. Our target audience would be mainly from the UK however with time permitting we hope to organize collection points in other countries as well. The money raised in the appeal will be equally distributed to deserving projects in the all areas of the Somali peninsula. These organizations will be selected based on their current projects and humanitarian programs running in most needy areas. We anticipate that by the end of December 2009, the money raised is already in the hands of the intended groups, so that they can use it for the provision of basic food and clothing and shelter. 1st Annual Somali Appeal requires help in relation to the planning, advertising and execution of an appeal of this scale. In addition we need Volunteers to raise funds by participating in sponsored walks/ runs, other activities and street fundraising.

I would like to say I am happy this event concluded without any blood shed between the clans, and without any hard feelings (well apart from Marx, who no one has seen since yesterday 5pm) The rest JB, Nuune and Ngonge would all like to admit the best man won and send their congratulations and want to be part of his cabinet. Adam would like to extend is congrats, but has decided to retire for a while. This has taken a toll on his family life and he reiterates that his decision is nothing against A&T or KK, sending is warmest congrats and best regards. The girls all decided to have a party and are all happy, with the exception of Malika, who is slightly annoyed that she spent more time campaigning for A&T rather than herself, and this might have cost her the SOL white house. All the girls would like to send KK a pair of fab high heels and baby lotion as congrats. They say the guys fight too much and too much politics and rubbish. They the girls should lead SOL, as they are cool, fashionable, calm and collected people with considerable talent. Congrats and Hambalyo to Kool Kat and A&T We hope to hear all about your plans for the next year. If the man with the baby face shows up, he promised that if the election proved to be a honest and fair one, he will handle the presents. I don't hear any compliants, so babyface over to you. Salamah Gudida doorashada

Juxa, You'd be so mean to all the model wanna-be who think they are going to be the next Top Model. I can imagin you going, naa go and eat some cake and xalwaad, you'll be happy.

^^^^Loool, you guys are so mean A&T, I am waiting for your apology for all the nonsense you accused me off. I want you to acknowledge your jumping the gun hasty reaction and give xaal to my clan for insulting me and them. Despite all your ho-ho and insulting PMs, We still were good enough to be the first (via me) to extend our congrats. Since we are getting political, this is starting to simulate the north/ south reunion. Don’t run away with the flag and national anthem to Mogodishu and forget about the people that planned and delivered the victory as well as the power taking event
