i'm not hooked to either of those shows even though the few episodes i've caught have impressed me (except for prison break, dude from mariah careys video irks me). im more of a greys anatomy kind of gal and i realize its a completely different genre but whatever.

i think by 5th grade (age 10) they are old enough to get the concept of racism. as a parent, id encourage the teacher to have a round about discussion about the subject.

actually the dispute is still not resolved but it did gain national coverage on the cbc national and the msa is suing the university and are hoping it ends the same way udm's case ended; victory for the muslims.

born in saudi arabia, jeddah in 83 and exited for montreal canada in 1986. i still live in the same neighborhood i grew up in and have zero recollection of somalia which we used to visit as a family back when we lived in saudi. i feel gypped.

i think self employment is something students and recent graduates shouldnt completely write off especially those in the creative fields. any risk their buisness ventures may have can be balanced out by their youth and lack of heavy responsibilities. you can always chock it up to a learning experience if it doesnt end well and if it does than alhamdulillah.
