  1. khat problem became endemic in whole SL region it's caused wide spread mess to the people, current gov doesn't have full power to ban it and they should stop for being sidekick to ethiopian government, they should take tremendous steps to regulate khat, at least they should maximize and raise tax so that many people wouldn't be able to buy it.

  2. khat isn't good for your everything, i wouldn't ingest that shit, don't even know what is inside, there are a lot of cayayaan inside like amoeba, and many other diseases both mentally and physically. people better keep their eyes what they eat.. you eat khat plant by your self and clean with vinegar and don't eat excessively.. waa iga talo caafimad ;)

    Trailer

"In 1991, Somalia’s central government collapsed in the face of insurrection and civil war. Soon after, Somaliland seceded to form a separate nation. Thousands fled, but some chose to stay. ‘Through the Fire’ is the story of three such women who have risked their lives to sustain their communities through decades of war and famine. Overcoming seemingly insurmountable obstacles, we see how they are engineering creative solutions to bring about peace and renewal. When the world abandoned them and their communities, they refused to give up or walk away. This is their story.

Through the Fire shows a side of Somalia and Somaliland beyond the all-too-familiar news reports of piracy, war, and famine. It tells the stories of remarkable Somali women who risk their lives to run essential humanitarian projects that have sustained their communities through decades of conflict." Through The Fire

The documentary features three incredible Somali women living in Somalia and Somaliland. Dr Hawa Abdi runs a medical centre in Somalia and was a 2012 Nobel Peace Prize nominee.Edna AdanIsmail, is a former Minister of Foreign Affairs for Somaliland. She manages the ‘Edna Adan Hospital’ in Somaliland, which she founded in 1998. Ilwad Elman,a young Canadian Somali, runs Elman’s Centre in Mogadishu.

They have each fought against seemingly insurmountable obstacles to spearhead efforts towards peace, laying foundations for social, health and educational infrastructure. The stories of these women and all that they have achieved are truly inspiring. When the world abandoned them and their communities, they refused to give up or walk away.

After the screening, a talk will be given by Edna Adan. There will also be a live stream with Ilwad Elman in Mogadishu.

This event is free, but donations to the project would be greatly appreciated.

Through the Fire is a non-profit documentary created by Delphin Films. The purpose of the project is to raise more awareness of the three foundations documented, and thus help maintain and expand their work.

Yeah that worked well for Barre's regime with its mechanised army and it sure to work well for your militia.

barre's regime was mindless destructive dictatorship and can't be compared with demacratic somaliland, and I'm sure no somalilander has problem with SL it's just bunch of mindless greedy Pseudo-politician who are are trying to poison their subclan , let's hope those people come home early before qoslaye regime molest them.;)

  8. I'm not seeing any where writing what you talking about, Any way talk about failed state who can't protect it's own citizen living in mogadishu alone. what ever beesha you are saying if they don't show any sign to integrate with somaliland and if they don't stop violent and messing around SL they will be ostracized accordingly and will be punished regardless of somaliland law or will be colonized, they will never go any where they will come and beg and adopt somaliland rules and regulation.
