Haa saaxiib, apart from small paternal communities such as R0a2(parts of Somaliland), T(Guban), K2(Haud)ect. who reach 10% each but are still native east africans. The vast majority of nomadic Somalis share common ancestor paternally E3b1*(E1b1b1a). Now that is ethnic Somali :cool:

Saalax, the only non Somali gene precentage in ethnic Somalis is T haplogroup and it is not only restricted to Somalilanders it is prominent in Djibouti down to Dire Dawa area and according to genetics T haplogroup migrated into modern day Somali peninsula 2000+ yrs from Mesopotamia and the Fertile crescent and that is way before Islam and Sh ***** isaac.

Well, if the first theory was true that Islam came to Somalia through 13th century Persian trading then we would have all been Shia. but there is not an exact date of when this trading occured, and it could have well been Pre-Islamic.

 

Personally, i am convinced that the 2nd theory is closest to the truth.
