  1. ^^ :D

You are awfully lazy ibtisam! There is nothing more entertaining that doing dishes! These westernised somali women need to get a grip and start enjoying housework! No matter how educated we are, we shouldnt forget our values and social responsiblities!

accepting western values is not good. Women should have their own standard of self! adopting western values, like having a career and delaying marriage and having children will lead to the end of humanity as we know it.

  2. Please name me a movie where a fat lady gets a thin, handsome man.

The only thing close to that was "Real Women Have Curves," but unfortunately it was one of those "everyone thinks that she is fat but she really isn't THAT fat" kind of thing.

Sometimes a fat guy gets a skinny girl like in the "Tao of Steve," but Steve was so vocally against fat ladies.

When does a fat lady get in movies without it being a joke?

  3. I was really offended by my dentist chauvinistic comments! There is a duty for him to act orderly and be professional... This guy had other ideas!from the moment I walked into the dentist that day, he had other ideas! I suppose this is his way of communicating!!!

i am going to change and find myself a feminist dentist, who is more in tune with my rights as a woman!

  4. Thanks for you well wishes and your safety warnings!

Its almost been a year and our love will grow strong! its nice to finally meet someone so special! I have to admit, the hardest bit was the meeting up. I wasnt sure at all, but our love sailed through!

  6. Posting this thread was not an easy decision to come to for a long time now; I have been using the internet as a source of finding love. At first, it seemed a little strange and was unsettled by the whole experience but as time went on it become normal. Earlier this year, I finally found love and have been happy ever since.

I become frustrated by the lack of good men in London, everywhere you go you are confronted by a lack of good men. So I decided to use the net and it’s been very successful. The good thing about the internet is that, you have the privilege of sifting and sorting out people on the basis of their likes and dislikes. It makes the whole relationship thing so much easier!

  7. Thanks Adeer Duke,

I understand that Sool and Sanaag are also inhibited by people who have allegiance to Somaliland, will they be allowed to express their votes or will the elections be limited to those who are considered to be in favour of Puntland? How do you reconcile the split in people’s allegiances to other nation-states?

How does puntland hope to rectify its border disputes with Somaliland? Are these borders based on populations or clearly defined territorial borders? If it’s based on population, how come the Somalis in Ethiopia can’t participate in Somali elections?

I think this pre-emptive and aggressive expansionism form of politics is very detrimental to the future of puntland!

And lastly - 4th president in 10 years is indicative of instability and volatility of puntland, and if I may say so this is the first time a truly representatives elections are taking place in Puntland!

  8. I am impressed by the great strides made by the Puntland authorities in recent years to embrace democracy. Despite this, Puntland continues to be a lawless and fragmented state of somalia.

What exactly does the so-called Doorasho hope to achieve or is it a smoke screen to hide the worsening humanitarian crisis and abject poverty in Puntland.

Also Mr. Duke, will the elections take place in Sool and Saanag? will they be observed by international observers? and since the overwhemling majority of the candidates are from Puntland will the elections be extended to Gedo and southern regions?
