    Ras Kambooni can't have less than 3,000 when they run the entire administration in Lower Jubba besides Kismayo.Ahmed Madoobe could have as much as 6,000 men under him.

     

    Kenya has taken a cautious approach, with officials in Nairobi saying the KDF is aiming to build a political consensus among the various clans and militias around Kismayu, so that when it eventually takes the city, it does not get bogged down with running it as if it were an occupier force, but can instead hand it over to Somali groups like the Ras Kamboni fighters. Kenya has trained and armed about 4,500 of the latter.

    ONLF militarily has strengthened despite the armies counter-insurgency but the Ethiopian propaganda machine has worked overtime to discredit the front in the political arena , the talks produced a well-needed boost for the front but improvement is needed to counter the information black-out of the region where Ethiopia and its cronies concoct their fairy-tales .The ONLF is bidding its time as the noose tightens on the regime, the struggle is in good-hands as-long as we stay the course its unnecessary now to change names or unite with groups like G7 who don't share our political ambitions but we welcome their armed struggle to lift the yoke of dictatorship.

     

    We don't need to make drastic political arrangements for now, slow and steady until we can pounce.

    ^There is lots of documented evidence implicating them in war crimes, so the Ethiopians are moving quick to replace Ilay and disband the militias because it defeats there whole narrative of denying any crimes taking place in the region.

     

    The Liyu were ineffective against ONLF militarily and the regular army didn't trust them because they could easily be infiltrated but they were an effective force in creating fear among the civilian population.

     

    The story of there disbanding is true, many have fled and the rest have been put in two different barracks in Garawo(Dhagaxbur) and Jigjiga...Some will be incorporated into the police, the rest dismissed.
