  1. As Nephthys said, the only thing a five year old should be doing is putting away his/her toys. Growing up, my mum never required/taught me to cook, she let me be the tom-boy i was and i thank her for that to date. I was probably about 14-15 when i first made somali tea and about 18 when i cooked what can be considered a proper meal i.e. baasto iyo suugo, forget about sabaayad still don't know how to make it and i'm 20+. I would say let your daughter enjoy her childhood and if she shows an interest in cooking then teach her, if on the other hand being in the kitchen is not her cup of tea, she might as well join her brother in beating you at playstation.
  2. Thanks Afro Girl for the welcome. I've been a non-registered user for the last 5-6 years, i'm not sure what made be register all of a sudden. I feel like i know most of the solers lol.
