    I am back my dear friends :)

     

    Just wanted to share with you a couple of Sahih hadiths regarding the Prophet of Islam (pbuh) and his conduct in relation to the subject of emancipation of slaves. This is his Sunna which all Muslims are compelled to follow:

     

    عن عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَعْتَقَ سِتَّةً مَمْلُوكِينَ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ مَالٌ غَيْرُهُمْ فَدَعَاهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَجَزَّأَهُمْ أَثْلَاثًا ثُمَّ أَقْرَعَ بَيْنَهُمْ فَأَعْتَقَ اثْنَيْنِ وَأَرَقَّ أَرْبَعَةً

    مُسْلِمٌ وَالنَّسَائِيُّ وَأَبُو دَاوُد

     

    Book 015, Number 4112:

    'Imran b. Husain reported that a person who had no other property emancipated six slaves of his at the time of his death. Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) called for them and divided them into three sections, cast lots amongst them, and set two free and kept four in slavery; and he (the Holy Prophet) spoke severely of him.

    The Prophet (pbuh) went out of his way to to keep four of the original six freed slaves in bondage when their owner had already emancipated them for the sake of Allah!

     

    أخرج البخاري ومسلم في صحيحيهما عن كريب مولى ابن عباس أن ميمونة بنت الحارث رضي الله عنها أخبرته: أنها أعتقت وليدة ولم تستأذن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، فلما كان يومها الذي يدور عليها فيه قالت: أشعرت يا رسول الله أني أعتقت وليدتي، قال أو فعلت؟ قالت: نعم، قال: أما إنك لو أعطيتها أخوالك كان أعظم لأجرك.

     

    Volume 3, Book 47, Number 765:

    Narrated Kurib:

     

    the freed slave of Ibn 'Abbas, that Maimuna bint Al-Harith told him that she manumitted a slave-girl without taking the permission of the Prophet. On the day when it was her turn to be with the Prophet, she said, "Do you know, O Allah's Apostle, that I have manumitted my slave-girl?" He said, "Have you really?" She replied in the affirmative. He said, "You would have got more reward if you had given her (i.e. the slave-girl) to one of your maternal uncles."

    Here the Prophet (pbuh) tells off to one of his wives because she emancipated a slave-girl. He even goes on to say that she would have gotten more reward (than freeing the slave-girl) had she kept the girl in bondage and gifted her to her maternal uncles!!

    Where have you been these days waaryaa? I am sure most people here would disagree with me but nevertheless it must be said your contributions to the debates in this forum are important. Somalis don't like to be out of their comfort zone when it

    comes to religious and cultural issues and would rather stick to long held falsehood and superstitions than adopt challenging ideas and change perceptions. Of course I too disagree with a lot of what you believe but it is very educational to have open discussions with those who do not share the same views. At the very least such open discussions would lead one to see their beliefs and values in a new light.

    I think the Somali people's dislike of an open challenge to their way of thinking is manifested in this very thread where we are here refuting a very deeply held believe and yet non of them have the slightest appetite to make a statement. This rule does not include our old friend Dr kenny as debating was natural to him

     

    I am still around good friend. The place died a death though, waa inkaartii Dr Kenny, I went too hard on my jousting partner I am afraid :D

     

    As for the lack of responses from Muslims, well most of them would not know how to answer your question but will go on anyway and call you a kafir to be in clear :D

    The geo-politics of the proxy war going on in Syria is of no concern to me.

     

    Russians are doing what they need to do, Saudis and Iranians are playing a game, It is unfortunate and I do sympathise with the Syrians (if only because they have treated Somalis well in their country), laakin I do not lose sleep over it. The Somali people have suffered equal horrors and no one gave two shits.

     

    Laakin Islamic terrorism is alive and kicking back home and this cause is one worthy of unsheathing swords to fight.

    Police in the Russian capital Moscow have arrested a woman on suspicion of murdering a child after she was found apparently carrying a severed head.

    Judging from your posts, you are most certainly a girl.

     

    You live in an environment that you absolutely detest, you do not like the people you live, work and socialise among, this is not normal sxb. No one is forcing you to stay where you are, go out in the world and find your place (somewhere preferably with no labels so you stop going on about this shit :D). Just like you left Islam, find the courage to leave the comforts of the West and seek where you find peace. Be happy. You seem a little troubled hence the hostility and throwaway comments against those on welfare (a great many whom are your people I assume).
