Asalamu Alaykum! I am new here, looking for Somali to English translation of lyrics, can anyone help me out? I have a cd of what seems to be older Somali music, featuring a man and woman doing call-response lyrics, and the band consists of drums, bass, guitar, flute, saxaphones, trumpets, etc. The music is awesome! I am the director of a music ensemble and wanna cover some of these songs but knowing/understanding the lyrics would help... There used to be a Northeast African music store in the city I live in (Decatur, GA) called Iftin Entertainment Center but I can't find them any more. It sounds like the lady is singing about "Islamabad" and "Cairo" but I can't really tell.. I could email some music to anyone who might be able to help with translating the lyrics, thanks!
