Interview with Dr Abiy Ahmed

Recommended Posts

This guy is just a frontman for the TPLF. What he says or what he believes is not what he will be saying or what he will be doing in office. That job belongs to the TPLF leaders who pull the strings.

In Ethiopia, the power is within the security apparatus and that is a wholly owned TPLF quarters.

Things are changing my friends. Ironically you do not want to see any changes in Ethiopia but you want freedom and prosperity for your tribe in Somalia at the expansive of other Somalis. Your Somaliland only shares 50 miles border with Ethiopia,  from buuhoodle district to Wajaale. The Ethiopia border with Somalia is about 1400 miles. There are more than 6 million Somalis in Ethiopia. apparently, you do not care them, even if they are the real people who use Berbera.  The red sea is another story. The Sanaag and Awdal tribes can claim most of it. Even Tigraay tell you to deal with Abdi Ileey. Instead, you want to go all the way to Adis and directly deal whoever rules Ethiopia.

It is time to change course and attitude.

Well,  we can definitely deal with this guy. He understands the whole region.

He understands the gulf players and their threat to both somalia unity and Ethiopian stability.

He calls both Puntland and Somaliland economic behaviour toward the gulf as separatist.

We shall see  how he deals with the power brokers.

I hate to disappoint you, but the guy will have as his assignment from UAE, America, Britain and unlike the Tigray he will not buy time or beat around the bush to delay or misdirect UAE. They are prepared to outspend Qatar in Ethiopia. The Saudi are also big in Ethiopia, they can buy Tigray by releasing Al Amoudi.

So on that front UAE has more leaning on his shoulders. His first test will be Djibouti and GERD.

Reading from a teleprompter, he tried to sound smart, but failed.  Someone should tell Abiy that only Somaliland is seeking secession.

The zone five media officer OO will tell you guys what is going on in Ethiopia.

The latest news is the TPLF has miscalculated the vote. They backed the Ahmara candidate Demeke Mekonnen, but just before the start of the vote he withdrew his candidacy. AFter that the Tigray were confused and decided to push the chairman of TPLF to run. After that , the Tigray gave their vote to the candidate of the SPDM Mr. Shifarow Shigute who got 58. The tigray strongman got only two votes. Today, he said, " I was forced by the some people for the last minute". Other TPLF members said that they were cheated and ganged up by the Oromo and Amhara.

The Amhara and the Oromo made alliances and voted their 90 total votes to Abiye .also got another 18 vote from the Southern people democratic party.

Mr. Abiy Ahmed got zero votes from the TPLF.

That means , I Galbeedi was probably wrong when I stated that Mr. Abiy is propped by the TPLF, but my analysis that he is more Ahmara culturally seems to be true.

As we speak the TPLF is trying to whip the parliament but the majority of the parliament is Oromo and Amhara.

By the way, there were some celebrations in Jijiga, although we do not know who is celebrating., whether it is Illey camp or the silent opposition.

Well, the Oromo are celebrating.

This Abiy guy got the backing of the Oromo. Now, he has to decide whether to be a  TPLF puppet or an Oromo man who could finish of the Tigray power.

Since he did not get one single vote from TPLF, he must dismantle them especially from the military, intelligence and economy.

I think the Wayane are done as the Oromo song s indicate.

galbeedi,

That is the case with computer age. Anybody can manufacture any document in what ever colours or shape.

Demeqe Mekonen was not running that was known since they all agreed he will be V chairman and no voting was done for vice-chairman

Debretsion was not running and neither he nor the others know why he got two votes, but two members voted for him for some reason.

The voting was between Abiy and Shiferaw.

The Amhara did not get unanimity to suport Demeqe and if you do not have unanimity within your own party is difficult to run for the front, thus the meeting was told that Amhara is not competing for Chairmanship.

I am not sure what is being tried by all this, but for what its worth that is what happened.

Are you now telling me that the Tigray did not know when the vote was done, who the candidates were etc. Let it be. We will see in short order what happens how business is conducted, then you will know or at least have good guess what may have happened.

It is not computer generated. Debretsion got two votes. Now you saying someone voted for him without being a candidate.

The Tigrat vote went to Shiferow. The Oromo and Amhara combined their vte. I told you long ago if things got opened up the TPLF will lose.

I think their only  hope disrupt the parliament and take over power by military means, otherwise the genie is out.

Not so fast. You always seem to be no brakes.

Yes even an Oromo executive member said in an interview that Debretsion had told them that TPLF is not running and he personaly felt would be disrespecting Tigray since its only couple of months he was elected promising to fix the kilil and now to jump on federal appointment would not be right.

I have put my conditions on what I would judge Abiy whether its a full genuine or wishy washy kind of election by the first actions taken.

I add for visits:

first three Khartoum, Djibouti, Mogadishu

Then immediately after Nairobi, Uganda, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, China, India, Japan, Korea

If he visits Dubai, Cairo, Sudi Arabia, USA, Britain then victory is all yours.

If it was Debretsion Israel would come 2nd group and even if it was Demeqe.

In any case April 2 is not that far.

It is official. The era of despot Cabdi Illey is over in the Somali region.
After closed door deliberations, the DDSI party had elected Mr. Ahmed Shide as the new leader which officially ends the 11 year painful rule of Illey.
This selection will pave Mr. Shide as the new president of the region very soon. Also, the Liyu police has been disbanded as the security force of the Somali region. For the last few days the Liyu have been looting and pillaging communities while abandoning their positions.
Also, members of Illey family are been investigated by the authorities for the theft of millions of dollars.
It is an end of a painful chapters for a lot of Somalia. A very small group of blood thirsty group,  created and organised by the Tplf and Cabdi Illey have been overthrow thanks to the Oromo uprising. While many Somali including my self were looking to preserve the old order for the sake order and continuity, millions of Somalia want the total demise and the removal of the tyrants who oppressed them for so long. Just like the Oromo celebrated the demise of the Tplf order, for the millions of Somalis the end of Illey and his henchmen is a great relief and a new era of freedom.

There were some security concern about the disbanding of the Liyu police and the threat of anarchy and outlaws in the countryside, yet for most people, their disbanding was a relief. Analysts believe that the Liyu is too criminal or murderous to be a force that might fight for independence or even tribal reasons. They were trained to kill and abuse Somali and will not be needed in a land where people are seeking justice and freedom.
It is mind boggling how a small ruthless group had managed to oppress and control millions of Somalia for so long. They acted like there is no one else but themselves.
Now, Illey and his supporters must accept the new order and collaborae for the peace and development of all Somali. He and Tplf wanted to finish off the Somali and createa long  civil war between the Somali and Oromo. There were a lot of victims, but we hope the worst to be over. He gambled to the lives of thousands of Somali to save the Tplf order. After he lost the gamble, he continued to the destructive route until it is too late.

      Very sad news.

Nothing is known yet from the police, but the media is reporting that he died from gun shot and the hand gun colt has been found in the car.

      galbeedi,
Why didn't you bring the most important news for you, the oil well to be drilled announced by Abiy?
Why this go around to bring civil war among Somalis? What do you gain?
Why is the area where the pipeline to pass more useful to you than the area where the prospective well is?

Why cover with Iley why not say the main motivation for you the trade route?
