Its almost 6 year he is in office yet no progress whatsoever from his first year. He didnt talk about Beled Haawo border/fence situation and he is arresting mps that are against him extending his rule. This Kenyan plant managed to kill Jubbaland project.

Madoobe has been a disaster for Jubaland. He did nothing since he defeated Al-shabab. I didn't expect much since he was a warlord-turned-politician. Jubaland would be better off it was led by a visionary leader.

Even if he resigns. I think its dead IGAD project. It cannot be put back into track because of wasted goodwill and false promises over a period of many years.

He doesn't care about Baled Xaawo, Gedo or any thing between. Masked Kenyan troops had entered Gedo and killed people, they bombed communication towers and slaughtered an armed civilian, yet this Kenyan probed warlord , has said nothing.

When president Farmaajo invited him to be present at the reconciliation summit in Dhuusamareeb, he declined . He rejected the request of his leader to show up, yet if his Kenyan mastres  called him, he will run like a dog.

His oppression and tyranny will not end unless the Kenyan troops leave our country.

Spot on Galbeedi.

He can only stay so long as Kenyans are there. This is not a single Clan territory, Jubaland is different ball game compare to the other proxy minion States, it has over 35 different clans.

Madoobe is the remaining warlord in Somalia and a chauvinist one, as the Jubbaland MP Mohamed Cali Yusuf who was kicked out of Kismayo back in May called him a 'Fanaan, Laxamiiste ah" af macaan.

Aside from Kismayo itself, and Out of the three provinces, Only Gedo has all of its 6 major cities liberated by the folks in that region themselves. This despot has no vision but, the typical warlord business of charcoal, airport and seaport resources in that city and not equipped to administer a modern system. Its unfortunate for a region as Jubbaland which poised as the California of Somalia but his time will come soon.

Well put.  He was also behind the failed federal state coup against President Farmaajo and thats why he declined the request to show up.

This man is a survivor. Not only kenya is at his service, but he also beat the competition to Ethiopia. I think Ethiopia may be a better country for SFG to deal with him than Kenya. Either compromise and make him important minister in SFG. Fighting him is absolutely wrong time and place.

Think of the good side, the place was under Shabaab control, there is baby step progress and yes I can see why some are impatiant but Rome was not built a day.

Things will take time

Much better solution. Most of us are trully influenced by war, to a degree we don't even feel it. So its not surprising that some pointed to things that could lead to fighting.

Its almost 6 year and counting.. He has proved at every turn that he is not interested to fight alshabab or state building. Nobody got patience for his get rich scheme. He will be fought and kicked out of Kismayo as he has killed alot of people himself. Fitting fate/end for  a warlord.

A tense of fighting is running high in Somalia's southern port city of Kismayo following the arrest of an opposition lawmaker who lost his immunity last week, Garowe Online reports.

Heavily armed soldiers blocked the main streets of the city on Sunday morning and halted public transport and people's movement in protest of the detention of Ahmed Abdi Hassan, known as [Ahmed Tajir].

Last week, Jubbaland Security forces arrested the regional MP barely a day after the state parliament has stripped his immunity over alleged motion against the state cabinet.

The mutinous forces cordoned off Fiat prison run by Jubbaland Intelligence Agency in Kismayo, where Ahmed Tajir is currently being held, according to a local security official who spoke to GO on condition of anonymity by phone.

The situation has been deteriorating since the arrest of Hassan last Wednesday. He was accused of proposing an impeachment motion against Jubbaland cabinet and President Ahmed Madobe.

Sources said more than 5 MPs fled Kismayo after Jubbaland forces began the crackdown on opposition lawmakers working on the motion wanted to oust President Madobe accused of poor leadership and nepotism
