Somali Government Arrests Abdirahman Abdishakur

Recommended Posts

The question comes down to what will you do with those who effectively undermine not just the government but the state itself?

This reminds of me Gallan who started a rebellion once he was removed from power. It is mucaaradnimo without a cause.

This is a bad move.  Even the most amateurish politicians would not move this way against un armed opposition. I guess,  someone is cooking the new civil war of Somalia. This is the move of a paranoid leadership that can not  take a heat from the podium of an opposition microphone.

Imagine Hassan Sheikh arresting Puntland members in MOgadishu. Bad leaders always fall on the open trabs that is paved for them to fall. The C/raxman C/Shakur community feels being targeted already by the government and now this. Raiding the home of a political opponent in the middle of the night and killing his bodyguards is a recipe for disaster.

. The success of the government against Al-shabaab and terrorists will eventually diminish the  opposition and take the air out of the opposition. Mr. Farmaajo, you should know that your job is not to worry about the unarmed opposition , but those who are armed and dangerous. You got a lot of work in your plate than flame tribal hatred and animosity by targeting the loyal opposition.

If there is money coming from foreign players, then follow legal channels and speak out openly about those states. My friend , you have more problems in MOgadishu than chase the wrong tribe. If these kids keep going this route , then it is the duty of the parliament to remove them from power.  If any leader thinks that his crown is more important than the country itself, then he must be stopped before he creates more chaos.

He should know that neither America , Kenya  or Ethiopia will save  him from a tribal war. We will all lose. Mr. president, Apologize and release this man immediately or you will create a civil war that could be similar with those we had seen in 1991. After that, please remove prime minister Khayre before he plunges this country in to unknown territory. It is a warning.

If you are  unable to manage the problems facing the state t, then you must give up and resign.

Che,

We all know that UAE is involved in these issues, So, why not the president or the prime minister speak out against the gulf guys.If they were smart enough they would have started with Cumar C/rashiid by going to court and order an investigation. If they think that H/G is a low hanging fruit or the leaders of the opposition that must be crushed, then they had already lost.

Last month I did talk to a Somali contractor who resides in Halane , and like many people he kept blaming the Galmudug community on most of the issues which is a knee jerk reaction of people who could not do their constitutional duties  to keep their citizens save. Al-shabaab is in Jubba, Shabeele, Bay, Bakool,Hiiraan, and many other places. Why blame the un armed opposition in Mogadishu which is against Al-shabab for your short comings.

Again , it is a bad move.

Guys, don't imply this is targeting one single community, the  traitors hail from every clan, and being apologetic, while these traitors having impunity, and destroying the small  fragile government.

Where in the world MPs, who are shameless, have no honour, working with foreign powers, there is should be no excuses, I think this is the best Farmajo has ever done,. These tough calls are what either make us or break us!

No One is  above law, and examples must be set! no more status quo!

Don't mislead people. No one supports Kheyre and Farmajo to raid and kill. The government didn't have to turn this into a killing exercise.  That is the job of the terrorist Alshabab.

It looks like CCC might be on the list. The fatso did everything to undermine Somalia. He's out of the country. It is unlikely he will come back for the foreseeable future.

This is what analysts call "overreach". In a fragile, clannish country, Farmaajo is treating it like the old days of Siyaad Barre regime.

Jowhar.com - Wasiirka Arrimaha Dastuurka C/raxmaan Xoosh Jibriil ayaa ka hor-yimid amar ka soo baxay Wasiirka Amniga Maxamed Abuukar Islow Ducaale, kaasoo ahaa in aanay cidna shir qabsan karin, iyadoo aanay fasax ka heysan Hey’addaha ammaanka iyo Gobolka Banaadir. Wasiir Xoosh ayaa bartiisa Facebook ku soo qoray inay qalad aheyd amarkaas, isla markaana ka hor imaaneysa Dastuurka

“Waxaan hadda daawaday shirkii Jaraa’id ee Wasiirka Amniga Gudaha Mr Islow oo uu ku yiri Cidna shir gaar ah ma qabsan karto, iyadoo aysan fasax ka heysan dowladda, hagaag, taasi waa qalad, Dastuurka ayaa u ogolaanaya Xoriyadda ah in cid walba ay qabsan karto shirar iyo isu imaadyo”ayuu yiri Wasiir Xoosh oo intaa ku daray in qodobka 16aad iyo 20aad ee Dastuurka u ogolaanayo.

Wasiirka Dastuurka C/raxmaan Xoosh Jibriil oo ah sharci yaqaan ayaa dhowr jeer oo hore dood sharciyeed ka keenay hadalada ka soo yeeray Mas’uuliyiinta dowladda, waana arrin uu mar kasta ku khilaafo mas’uuliyiinta dowladda mar alla marka dhanka sharciyada la baal maro. Hey’adaha ammaanka dowladda ayaa maalmihii la soo dhaafay soo saarayay amaro is daba joog ah oo u muuqda mid lagu hakinayo shirarka siyaasadeed ee ka dhan ah dowladda, iyadoo xalay Ciidamada Ammaanka ay weerar ku qaadeen hoyga uu degenaa Siyaasiga C/raxmaan C/shakuur, oo xabsiga loo taxaabay.

Holac,

Just do you deal with a politician who is effectively undermining not just the government but the state itself? The likes of Cumar Cabdirashid, Cabdishakuur and Xiddig have been busy hamstringing any progress.

Che, I think most of you who support this move mean well. But we need to think with our head and not be driven by emotions. The opposition team was plotting to bring down the government through the parliamentary process. It is no secret they want to sack Farmaajo's government and vote him out of office through the existing corrupt parliament. There was never an intention to violently attack the government.

Why does that kind of political power-play warrant military intervention and the death of young men?

If we are genuine about moving the country forward, I think the above question is the real question that needs to be answered by those who support Farmaajo's ambush against the opposition leader.
