The love to the last messenger, the orphan and blessed one Sayyid Muxammad (scw)

A poem composed by a famous somali shaykh goes like "Maxabatu Fardun calayna" ( the love to him is an privileged obligation).

Some people today pray and performe the rituals of Islam but no one has reached faith if we do not love the messenger more then our mothers and fathers. God even confirmed the prophet's faith when he said that he was sent to us as a mercy, meaning that loving him leads to blessings.

 

Marka Maxabbada nabiga qalbigeena ha nagu badiyo.

You know the Salafis forgot about loving the rasul (sallahu caliyhe wasilm).

In their efforts to fight shirk, they have made Islam to be lifeless and emotionless.

You go the grave of the rasul ( sallahu caliyhe waslim) and they police your emotions.

Bidda bidda, control your love and emotions.

 

If only they knew what love was. Then they too would be over come with emotion.

The rasul (sallahu caliyhe waslim) embodies beauty and all that is beautiful in this deen.

Khayr, wixii aan sheegi laahaay adi aaba sheegtay . Jacaylka dhabta ah waa kan axmadaa, sida aa sheegtay. Islam has many dimensions but it's greatest one is the spiritual one, after all is it not a faith that leads us to God ? I am a bit critical to those groups you mentioned. I don't know why but it seems that their way of understanding faith and spirituality has sadly spread as a wild-fire in our community. Instead of infusing the perfection of the prophet (scw) his love for the poor and weak, his mercy for all of humanity regardless of race and creed it seems that they have made him just as you said a static figure. Axmadkeena (scw) sooma hayn ki dhidikiisa ahaay catar , from the best of the fragrances, his face the best of all faces.

jumping around on milaad and making tawaaf around graves is totally showing love to the Messenger, Alayhi afdalu as-salaati wattasleem..!

1658: Ibn Mas'ud, radiallahu anhu, reported the prophet, peace be upon him, said:"Someone who slaps his cheeks, tears his clothes and shouts the cries of jahiliyya (ignorance) is not of us." [Agreed upon]

 

Try telling the Sufis that who WAIL and SCREAM and dance around the grave. Have some shame saxb, nobody loved the prophet asws more than the Saxaba don't go overboard.

You know extremes are there but you can't police emotion and love. Ripping your clothes off or doing sajdah at a grave are extremes and need to be stopped - when seen! On the other hand,

You can't tell someone that has longed to see the rasul (sallahu caliyue wasilm) that they have to hold back their emotions and tears.

It is like telling someone in sajdah, to control their crying.

You know when Abu Bakr cried out of joy because the rasul (salallahu caliyhe wasilm) chose him to be his companion for the hijra, he wasn't

told to stop such emotions. Abu Bakr cried out of sheer love for the companionship of the rasul (salallahu caliyhe wasilm).

 

You know a saxibiya ( female companion) was informed at the battle of the uhud that her father was killed, that her brother was killed and that her husband was killed. Do you know what her response was? She asked if the rasul (sallallahu caliyhe waslim) was ok. When she received confirmation that he was alive. She replied "then all is well". Now that is mahaba/luv.
