LOL! Who's submitted saxib, Ethiopian troops in Somalia, Uganda/Burundi/Ivory Coast in Xamar - Kenyans in Kismayo. Only people that can make that joke might be Hargeisa folks - and even they have to come to Addis Abeba when they are summoned.

And don't say wallah when you worship fire you clown.

What do you even know about the history of the region? As I said we tried the whole halgan thing and saw we weren't getting anywhere so we went for the sensible choice and have enjoyed peace ever since Alhamdulilah.

Well you would know that after we were betrayed by Egal AUN for cheap financial gain, we found ourselves fighting a hopeless war. Why then continue?

hit and run is still ongoing. Chinese still can't work on the gas situation in OG-land.

Mad Mullah; nin walbo xornimadiisa asagaa aa gacantiisa ku haayo. The desire for freedom lies within the individual. Enough said but a perfect example that our somali brothers in Jigjiga doolow and Dire Dawa could have in their struggle is how a small band of Eritrean hard-core well trained political educated guerrillas defeated and humiliated one of the best armed governments of Africa.

The Eritrean had their luck of history (mengistu lost the support from Moscow in 1991 while the OG lost or got engeaged in a vicous somali civil war in Somalia) but still he (Mengistu) was not able to defeat the EPLF early 80-ties. Note that the EPLF was composed by muslim eritreans (ELF) and christian tigrayans. They were from diffirent ethnic backgrounds and some did not even have a common language to communicate within themselves. They ofcourse did not want to use the hated amharic. While the EPLF regrouped and repelled the offensive mengistu conducted the OG or Somali region at that time WSLF was not succsesfull in llberating one inch of OG.

Some would in hurry answer that the TPLF and EPLF worked together and thats why Eritrea got it's independence. Well this might be true but the same applies to the OG or WSLF at that time, They were in alliance with the soomali aabow or Oromo liberation front and Afar liberation front.

Zack and Mad Mullah have some serious questions to answer, . My personal theory is that Jaale Siyaad (alle ha u naxariisto) intervened so roughly that the somalis in the region never had a chance regroup themselves decide theire destiny. After the defeat in 1978 they simply went to Mogadishu, why fight when you had your Somali brothers in Somalia you could flee to? But Mad Mullah we have a banadiri proverb that goes like , nin mininkiisa meel ku haynin maxaas dad u sheega? Those OG-fighers who are still fighting are in my eyes not sell-outs, but those who made a deal with Malas plus the famous Itixaad wadaads are a shame to that community. Kolley dhulkaas marka ey dadka ka imaaday ey ka tashadaan aa xal laga hela. As long as somalis are divided amongst clan lines their will be no separate somali region. Even so, the future is bleak, a somali government guarded by ethiopian supported amison army is not in the best intrest of somali seperatists in Ethiopia. Neither is the support from a vindictive Isayas of Eritrea.

But one question remains that I asked earlier, what went so perfectly good in Eritrea but so wrong in Dire Dawa and Jigjiga. Maybe Abtigiis could put his comment on this issue, kilinka ayaamahan maxaa ka socdo?

Who is we, your clan or all of NFD ? By the way i am for the occupation of NFD and KL 5, somalis need to be civilized and broken like wild horses. Heck i would say italy and britain should come back and take over their former colonies.

That's a very good question and something that needs to be researched. I will not however accept insults hurled at us by people that are also under Uganda/Burundi and even Ethiopian/Kenyan occupation.
