Yemeni child forced to get married at the age of eleven sad story. beautiful kid

Recommended Posts

The prophet himself consummated a marriage to a 9 yr old girl, and Muslims are ordered to follow his lead because he is the supreme example of good conduct. i would think the prophet example is more powerful proof of permissibility than your hadeeth. Yemeni child bride marriage thus is on solid religious ground. you can't pick choose parts of the religion you like.

Here is an article dealing with the issue of Aisha's marriage in detail.

Either way, Islam has no connection to forced marriages and this practice needs to be stopped immediately. The result would be the same if the bride was 30 years old, and oppressing a woman by forcing her to marry a man she doesn't like and doesn't want to marry is completely against our religion.

what, if any, islamo-judicial provisions are there for young men forcefully pursued, solicited and systematically seduced by older women, siba kuwa ku magac dheere ee gaaladu uu taqan ''cougars''. our rights have been VIOLATED time and again, yet there is hardly any mention of these endemic human rights abuses and atrocities against humanity. balse, our rights ought to be respected, maha? we are DEMANDING at once to have access to human rights. they must at ONCE stop spoiling our persons with gifts and other such delightful treats including but not limited to: new Samsung S3 Galaxys, notepads, designer clothes, wads of cash and Waterstones corporate gift cards and vouchers. these shameful acts of ''i scratch your back and you scratch my person'' are clearly premeditated and should be PUNISHABLE by stoning or firing squad.:mad::mad::mad::mad:

However much you try to twist and justify it to make it look good, a 50 plus man marrying a 6 yr old child is plain wrong on so many levels and disgusting. How can you be against this forced marriage when the prophet himself did exactly the same ? Answer that, stop ducking.

Viral video of Yemeni child marriage called into question

Human rights groups dispute Nada's story as she returns to parents

The story of Nada al-Ahdal, an 11-year-old Yemeni girl whose video about her alleged arranged marriage went viral, is being called into question. In the video, she claims to have run away from her parents' home and to her uncle Abdel Salem in order to escape. Her story was covered by many online media organisations, including The Stream.

Two human rights groups involved in the case, Seyaj and the Yemeni Women Union (YWU), say parts of Nada’s account are false, including the claim that her parents planned to marry her off. According to both organisations, someone had approached Nada's parents to suggest a suitor for her, but they refused. YWU President Ramzia al-Eryani says Nada has returned to live with her parents after being in the custody of YWU while the case was being resolved.

Ahmad Algorashi, president of the non-governmental child rights group Seyaj, says his organisation became involved after a journalist contacted them out of concern for Nada. Algorashi also said on Saturday that Nada's parents did not try to force her into marriage.

The person who recorded and uploaded the original video of Nada is Ziad Abdul-Jabbar. He works on a children's show called Nujoom al-Madina (Arabic for "Star City"), which regularly features Nada. Abdul-Jabbar maintains that Nada's original account is true.

I never believed this story. Reer Galbeed propaganda has no limits.

Not just this particular story, but take it with grain of salt anything that comes through MEMRI tv. Their bias intent have been exposed even by some prominent western journalists and various media organizations through out the world. It is obvious, most of their targeted audiences are non muslims and of course some gullible muslims, for the soul purpose of misinforming them about islam and making muslims appear a barbaric society.

All muslims are not saints, but cherry picking the extreme views of small groups like Al-Qaida and similar fringe groups to represent the 1.5 billion muslims of this planet is clearly a dishonest act.

Until Somalis understand that it doesn't have to be a choice between Arab cultural backwardness and Godless feminism they will remain confused. The funny thing is the authentic reer miyi dhaqan seems to be the perfect balance between the two in terms of the role, rights and responsibilities of women. But as Somalis are so accustomed to doing, we continue looking for answers outside the parameters of our inherited cultural heritage. A shame really.

lool You say the darnest things, my dear.
