If only you people had an ounce of intellectual curiosity then I would really school you on the history of somaliland but you would rather feed on tribal fair tale and half baked mythology. Tallaabo did you know the your colony masters the British didn't not even consider somaliland as a protectorate or the fact they believed that the treaties signed with friendly tribes are legally void?

Do you have proof in words that I can a actually reference stating that??

Here is proof of d block servitude of the British yet this guy stands here spreading the same bull)it:

Jubaland Chiefs Send Plea to England to Join the Army

London, Nov. 10 – the London Times has received from a correspondent a copy of a petition signed by the principal Somali chiefs in Jubaland, asking that they be allowed to fight for

England. The document is as follows:

To His Highness the Governor,

Through the Hakim of Jubaland

Salaams, yea, many salaams, with God’s mercy, blessing, and peace. After Salaams,

We, the Somali of Jubaland, both H@ and Og comprising all the tribes desire humbly to address you.

Now we have heard that the German Government have declared war on the English government. Behold, our "fitna" against the English Government is finished. As the Monsoon wind drives the sand hills of our coast into new forms, so does this this news of German evil-doing drive our hearts and spears into the service of the English Government. The Jubaland Somali are with the English Government. Daily in our mosques we pray for the success of the English armies. Day is as night and night is as day with us until we hear that the English are victorious. God knows the right. He will help the right. We have heard that the Indian Askaris have been sent to fight for us in Europe. Humbly we ask why should not the Somali fight for England also. We beg the Government to allow our warriors to show their loyalty. In former days the Somali tribes made fitna against each other. Even now it is so: it is our custom; yet with the Government against the Germans we are as one, ourselves, our warriors, our women, and our children. By God it is so.

A few days ago many troops of the military left this country to eat up the Germans who have invaded our country in Africa. May God prosper them. Yet, Oh Hakim, with all humbleness we desire to beg of the Government to allow our sons and warriors to take part in this great war against the German evildoer. They are ready. They are eager. Grant them the boon. God and Mohammed is with us all.

If Government wish to take away all the troops and police from Jubaland, it is good. We pledge ourselves to act as true Government askaries until they return.

We humbly beg that this our letter may be place at the feet of our King and Emperor, who lives in England, in token of our loyalty and our prayers.

The reality is if Somalis accept the Somalias borders they have accepted the colonial borders and also the treaty that created those borders. If they accept Kenyan and Ethiopian borders then they must accept Somalilands borders because they are all one and the same.

Instead of coming up with platitudes about colonial borders or formulaic statements about a your "right to nationhood", let consider the facts. The British never considered the treaty they signed with the so called friendly tribes as legally binding. It was a trick used to fool illiterate nomads.

The British parliament debating the hand over of the Haud reserve and the legalities of the treaties signed with the Somalis and the Ethiopians. The british government explicitly states that Somaliland treaties (1886) had no legal authority whatsoever, where as the Anglo-Ethiopian agreement was a legally binding treaty (1887) Source. Lol @ " God and Mohammed is with us all."

Firstly, I doubt very much a Somali wrote this letter let in1915, let alone a Somali chief(s). Nevertheless, your tribalism is so conspicuously transparent that I cannot help but laugh at you. You need to disabuse your mind son

"Not even a colony yet want to fight for the British". This statement shows how ignorant you are about Somali history. Jubaland was control by the British before they handed it over to the Italians in 1927.

The Ethiopians were certainly very clever when they exploited the loophole in the agreements between the Somali tribes and the British Empire regarding the territorial limits of the clans. It shows the Ethiopians were always well ahead of us.:(

^^ They were trying to advance very fast Menelik would reach the interior of Somaliland if it wasn't for the Brits, there was nothing that was stopping him he had a force close 120.000 troops with more than 90.000 rifles purchased from the Russians. Imagine if our grandfathers never made a treaty with the British and Menelik would invade us and he would than sign a treaty with the English on behalf of us. That would be terrible we would be under Bug eyed xabashi today.

The British did not regard the treaties signed with some of the tribes of Somaliland in 1884/6 as an agreement with a sovereign or part-sovereign entity, which could be recognised in international law, rather it considered them nothing more then a mere subjects of the Crown. This is why they arbitrarily seceded 25,000 miles of "British Somali territory" to Ethiopia. If somaliland was a legally entity, with a defined and recognised borderdefendantss then the Anglo-Ethiopian Agreement of 1887 would have been null and void. The claim the somalland was a legally entity with defined borders, as claimed by the secessionists is just ahistorical and a fallacy based on wishful thinking.

Xaaji you are funny dude. According your statistics a quarter of the menacing Ethiopian soldiers which your forefathers needed protection from were completely unarmed. But then again you want to have us believe that the illiterate nomads who thumb signed the "treaties" with British had the foresight and political shrewdness to preempt the Ethiopian claims by cleverly signing a treaty with the British.

:(

Oddly enough, the Somalis of "Italian somaliland" were the only Somalis that had legally access to international law as registered Trusteeship.

That is a ridiculous suggestion. If Somaliland was not a legal entity the British Empire would not have signed a treaty with Addis Ababa which clarifies the boundaries between the Ethiopian territory and that of the British Somaliland.
