Barre should stop !

Recommended Posts

Ok, even though I would liked the government to be in the center of the formation of Jubbaland but instead the locals alone carved this administration and have chosen a former warlord/Islamist to be their leader for four years. Now what Barre is doing could ignite a civil ware that would wipe out many innocent lives and for that reason he should stop this nonsense.

The city is full of young heavily armed men from both-sides now if they are not contained, there could be a full blowout war between these brotherly community . I have noticed many websites or politicians from Xamar are eagerly waiting for a war and that is sickening !

Good call Macalinka! It doesn't really matter who is on the top post of this state. What matters is the peace and prosperity of the community.

Good call.

They should arrest Barre immediately and put him behind bars. You don't hear former warlords in Mogadishu claiming parallel authority thanks to AMISOM.

AMISOM in Kismayo should do the same

This is what SFG was avoiding , Now they can say we told you so to the Kenyans and IGAD , fighting between two pro government militias will not help the fight against alshabaab .

^I guess Hiiraale came from Kampala or other IGAD capitals. Hiiraale come from the seating of SFG and he came to do their dirty work.

Good call Macalinka. Peace should be the top priority for all.

Gabal is not Jiljileec . I am concern the innocent lives that will be lost if the a war breaks out, I have many family member in that city what Barre is doing could ignite a war........if that happens what would be the outcome? Lets say there will be a heavy casualties from both sides and one side is driven out from the city, they will join Al-shabaab and come back(again many lives will be lost) Then what? Al-shabab will rule again, maxaa laga faa iday marka? dad un baa kaa dhintaye ?

Every sane person can see the possible grim outcome if the situation continues this way!

And so what is the result? Appeasement? Why did they not think about this when they disavowed the reconciliation of the state, when they started a partisan process, and when Madoobe even stole from those who were in on it with him?

Ahmed Madoobe rode into Kismaayo thrice my friend:

1. With the ICU to remove Barre

2. With Al Shabaab to remove Barre

3. With Kenya to seize charcoal exports

He is and has always been an enemy of the state.

This man will never become the President of Jubbaland and will never be allowed to even claim it. He doesn't have the respect for it, the support for it, or the base for it.

Appeasement is out of the question and a false peace is never an end to conflict but a continuation of it.

With that said, President-elect Barre Adan Shire has not once spoken about war or fighting. He has simply accepted the verdict of a congress that disavowed the foreign engineered one and accepted their nomination of him.

Xamaasada iska kala yareey.

waryaada, Macallin iyo Gabbal ease up this none sense of name calling…

Macallinka you have said 'locals alone carved up this admin and have chosen him...' I am not advocating for war and it should be avoided at all cost, but how did you come up with that statement.

Yesterday a former warlord/jihadist decided he had opportunity and enough muscle to take over. The start of the election wasn't announced yet, there was separate meetings taking place all over the city and issues of voter cards and oversight committee arrangements were happening when at high noon during lunch hours Madoobe's dashed for the conference hall, Mainly his own M^Subeer in toe, none of the candidates that hail from Gedo were at this sham election. How does one claim they received 485 out 500 votes when none of the 180 Gedo delegates plus their 20 seats from Kismayo were vacant from the election hall. He managed to pay ex MP Thug Hilowle who was not either a member of selected delegate or a candidate to the hall and claim everyone was there.

Candidates like Magan, Ali Madoobe, Bashir and the traditional leaders were all blind sighted by Madoobe’s little coup d'etat. To call this a farce election is not to drum up a war, but for you to call this a free and fair election couldn’t further from the truth. If anything, it was Madoobe’s actions of yesterday that gave Bare the opportunity he so desired, and thus responsibility of this fiasco lies with Madobe.
