Xaaji Xuunuf,

People from New Hargeisa and south Hargeisa are pro-union so of course she is pro union. Even Hadraawi and his people are pro-union but they hide it. They are the biggest supporters of the former al-Itihaad. They even gave Dahir Aweys one of their women for marriage. That is how much they love union

Xaaji Xunuf,

That is not true. The people of Gabiley are more pro-Somaliland than the people of central and south Hargeisa. Even you know that. I respect the wishes of the "people" so I will respect Somaliland's wishes but you must come clean.

There is a reason why Hadraawi wrote "Beledweyne" and not "Oodweyne".

Yes, they gave him a woman. They loved him that much. She lives in Cairo with her kids and the other three wives.

Farmajoo is not an ethnic somalilander and she was committing treason of the highest order being a member of the Somali government as well as acting as the Foreign minister, she implies at all those conferences that Somalia is one by her very presence....was there a higher target so with in reach.

P.S why do you keep on insisting that this man was hiding, it is after all his hometown regardless of what ethnic somalilanders might say..

First of all Hadraawi is not from hargeysa but from Burco he is entitled to his own opinion on Somaliland , hadraawi is a respected man but here are his people, he doesn't represented the people of burco he is a poet.,

Hargaysaawis feel the same way on Somaliland to be free and independent the southern hargaysaawis are the Kings of Somalilands they have been the rulers of Somaliland for centuries. Do you know four out of 9 officers who staged the coup in 1961 were from southern Hargeysa. Did you know during the war who sheltered the SNM in aware they and later in Baligubadle. You should not really form ur opinion on Buuba and his likes. Reer Hargeysa are reer magaal north and south ,you cannot compare them to the farmers of gabiley,, hargeysa is a big city and there are many koonfurians living there.

He was hiding thats what the security forces told us it was his city but he is working for a foreign country, a country SL has no relations with a country that claims SL to be part of them. The SL laws do not indicate the difference between farmaajo and her any official of Somalia is not allowed to visit Somaliland whether he is a Somalilander ethnically or not. So there is little difference between faarmaajo and fawziya

Xaaji I can see you are donning your sunglasses of willful obtuseness, regardless hope the M.P gets his issue solved quickly, just put him on the next plane buddy anything less is killing a mosquito with an anvil.

There are no special laws for ethnic Somalilanders when it comes to Koonfurians or Somalia's goverment officials.

The MP will be in jail for a while maybe he will be released we are not sure yet and he might be deported back to Somalia.

How come Somalia Foreign Minister Fawsia Yusuf Haji Aden wasn't arrested when she arrived in Berbera a few weeks ago?

Hey Metta world peace, its called living in a civil society you should give it a shot. You don't go arresting people off the cuff without due cause. Any members of Somalia's parliment who are native Somalilanders are not welcome in Somaliland. This is not Al-Shabab country people are not harassed and beaten for no good reason. Diplomats enjoy immunity in all civil societies. Ahmedinejad makes trips to New York and so did Gadafi. If a diplomat comes to a country from where he or she is banned the worst case scenario is that diplomat is asked to leave. That's how civilized people live. She is treasonous but like Xaaji tried to explain to you, she isn't the first and she wasn't trying to remain in Somaliland. I find it amusing your trying to divide Somalilanders among tribal lines and likely advocating some warped vision of somali 'unity', just another pseudo-patriot with a demented understanding of unity aren't you?

The Sage

Treason is treason no matter how you look at it and according the Somaliland constitution, it is a grave offense and the security forces are obligated to uphold it.

Although I'm pretty sure the "MP" was really looking to make some quick money, he should know what the consequences are of betraying your countrymen

Arresting an MP from a "recognized" government is a ****** move. Why not say "expel" as it is a diplomatic maneuver? Somaliland seem more and more desperate as time goes by.

^^ There were many arrested before him the past 2 decades nothing new or shocking:D

The difference:

1. Somalia and Somaliland are engaged in peace talks sponsored by the international community.

2. The current Somali government is not a transitional or a make-shift government, it's recognized as the rightful government of Somalia.
