Indeed, Clanism and Qat chewing are two enemies of progress and development of the people and nation.

One of the most important steps to finding a cure to your ills is to first and foremost acknowledge that you are in factnot well and need help for your sickness. Faisal's comments are a welcome step in the fight to reduce two of Somaliland's social ills.

We need more people in the public forum to come out and talk about these social issues.

I was at work earlier and couldn't access you but have watching it now, the man made alot of good points applicable to all Somalis.

Lack of the respect for law

Lack of Institutional capacity

Incompatibility the State and tribe

Lack of Development and jobs for the youth

And utter uselessness of Somali men

Lastly self-segregation

This was one of the best speeches from Faisal. He used to be a firebrand nationalist who appealed mostly to the youth but now he is getting wiser and broadening his base.

Faisal made one of the best moves when he appointed Jamal Ali Hussein as UCID's presidential candidate.

Are you sure that Jamal is running for president. I'm afraid that Faisal will not keep his promise. We'll see central commute meeting on Sunday

Coofle

AGain...We are blaming the Wrong victims Here....

Qat is equivalent and less harmful than Alcohol in Western Countries

Qaybaalad is Equivalent But Nearly/more Harmful than Racism in West..

But we don't see the West Limping because of Alcohol ingestion, Why would we complain of the Green Qat tree ( a strong addictive sedative) with no scientifically proofed Healthcare hazards (Such lung cancer -smoking- and Liver cirrhosis -ethanol)

The Real Enemy of Somalia is IGNORANCE

Ibtisam

Jamal is a mad kid, he has even less chance of winning even if Faisal lets him run.

Faisal has no respect for law, is very clannish and will sell everybody and everything for power and a chance at the seat- which like his Ucid seat he will want to hold hostage and will need to be bribed to even think about leaving after his term.

HE should've added hypocrisy nature of some like himself.
