My comment had nothing to do with Africa in particular, I feel the same way about living in Boston so I felt I could explain it. It's a popular US city to visit, and I happen to live in one of the most tourist-y areas of the city, but a vacation is always a very different experience from actually living somewhere and getting used to the place. I spend a lot of time in my apartment on SOL when I could be out doing and seeing things, too.

 

And I am a middle class 20something But not shallow in the least.
