Dee thats what I'm saying. East Africa iyo Khaleej share alot culture. You picked this up during your khamiis wearing days rather than your later life re-Somalification :D

 

On a side note, is there any religious notes on sitting with feet pointing towards Qibla? I keep getting stares on Fridays.

Norf, sida Somalida baad noqotay saaxib. Like I told you, I got the idea from my grandmother who got it from Somalis before her, who got it from the Arabs. When it's about the faith, it sooner or later goes back to the Arabs anyway (except if you're a fish living in the steel city). :P

 

It's OCD stuff, saaxib. The traditions say one thing and the sunna & faith says another. Kabta rog warya.
