There is always something missing for Chelsea LOL. Last couple of seasons, they had Drogba who could score like its nobody's business but they were missing creative offensive midfielder. Now they have wonderful trio in the midfield, they don't have a good strike who can really put that ball behind the net. Cahill has scored more goals than Torres this season.

GET FALCOA on January or it will be another Manchester year.

Err..Torres (along with Mata) is Chelsea's top scorer with seven goals, saaxib. Suarez is top of the pile. :D

^^ He's been subbed less times than the three "flair" players in the team. Sturridge came on as sub for almost every game (and started the last game) but only scored ONE goal. Don't make any comparisons here, saaxib.

:D :D@ along with Mata. How about Torres(by himself) v Suarez? :)

Suarez makes something out of nothing, Torres makes nothing out of great things (arguably - the best BPL's current midfielders).

Sturridge is selfish, unimaginative and will never be half the player Torres is.

What he said was that Mata and Torres are joint top scorers for Chelsea.

You might be right but if Chelsea are winning and their main striker is not scoring goals....oh well.. he will have to be held accountable. Scoring is not an option here, it is a must and if Torres can't deliver it, they might as well try it with Sturriidge. I have heard Torres might be axed for today's game. We shall see.

He would of had a hattrick against Norwich.. if he was as good as Suarez.

Juve vs Chelski

I don't think we'll win this. We are in poor form, especially defensively, and up front we don't have any substance.

I would drop Luiz and Torres for this game, and play Ivanovic Centre back and Azpi right back. Sturridge could go up front

^^ Err..it wasn't long ago when people were accusing Suarez of not being able to convert chances. Now that he's top scorer in the league we're getting nonsense about Torres not being as good as him (which he isn't of course). :D

The only time Torres is able to score is when playing with a free moving Mata. You see, Mata like Gerrard before him understands movement and is not too selfish. Oscar, Hazard and Sturrdige don't do team work and never pass the ball back whenever Toress sets it up. In fact, Sturridge just shoots on sight, even from forty yards away. Bahasha barta.

^^ You haven't been following the news. Suarez was (for the most part of last season) accused of not being a main striker. Poeple went on about Liverpool's need to buy a proper striker who can then be fed by Suarez. People kept on referring the endless chances Suarez kept on missing to prove the point that he's not a very good (main) striker. Now that's he's scoring goals, they're all talking about what a great striker he is and how he carries the team on his own (which, in a way, is right).

Torres is a good striker and nothing much has changed in the way he plays. He still has the same pace (where some strikers lose theirs) and still makes the same movements. But does he EVER get the ball in the danger areas from Chelsea's "playmakers"? Only Mata seems to be the one trying to supply him. Oscar tries to make space for himself to shoot at every opportunity, Hazarad tries to run past ten poeple and Sturridge just shoots no matter who is free and in a better position than him. Against West Brom the other day (and all season really), Torres was coming deep to get the ball, he would pass it to one of the midfielders and make the run into space in the expectation that the one-two will be returned only for Sturridge, Moses or Hazard to go their own way and ignore his run. Worse still, when he was subbed it was with the only man that could have supplied him with the killer balls (MATA)!

With Suarez his finishing problem is mental, sure of it. Ask him to finish instinctively, if he has to get a shot off quickly or he snaps one off quickly then he usually does really well with them. Give him a bit of time to think as the ball comes to him, a bit of space, and he messes up. It's all about composure with him.

Just look how brilliant he is in enclosed spaces when nutmegging and dribbling his way past defenders, his instinctive footballing brain is incredible.

Really don't think Moses and Sturridge are Chelsea quality, and it shows even more when they play at the same time! Saying that, Torres has been awful the last few games (genuinely awful, not the media getting on his back because he didn't score in a game awful). Really don't know what the best thing for us to do at the moment is. With Torres, we have a world class striker who's stuck in his own head and starting to show less and less flashes of his old self. But with Sturridge, we have an over confident, greedy player who is only interested in making chances for himself - often at expense of the rest of the team. It's a really frustrating problem, because if Torres had Sturridge's self belief we'd be laughing.

IMO i agree on this - rather stick with Torres and hope, than give Sturridge a go and wait for the inevitable greedy moment that cost us a game (see WBA game where he went for goal rather than square for Mata to tap in).

^^ That's football though. You judge a player on scoring alone. I always judge them on their movement and ability to get the chances (like the Suarez talk above, these chances will sooner or later get converted). Wax fahan.

Chelsea vs Fulham

Big derby for Rafa to try and win some fans over. Form goes out of the window for derbies is the cliche, hope so because Sunday was crap!

3-1 Chelsealona

Torres, Torres, Torres
