^^ Define danger? :D

How many saves did the United keeper make? Were they all routine saves?

United played well and WON the game. Nobody is arguing against that fact (though some Chelsea fans may bring the ref's part into it). But Chelsea did play well and put United under extereme preasure. The United keeper was making all sorts of saves and Torres (who you blindly criticise) played his full part in the game. Heck he even got sent off when HE was on the attack. Bax warya.

I seriously doubt you guys have an understanding of what is going on. Chelsea created chances and the Utd keeper made some good saves (not many) but, all in all, their passing, pressing and general play wasn't very good. It wasn't very good because Utd didn't let them play through them which is what Chelsea do (Spurs last week) as they don't have any wingers. Utd broke quickly down the flanks (do you remember Cole having a worse game?).

Ngonge, your favourite footy analysis site says:

Chelsea dominated possession in the first half, primarily because they needed to get back into the game rather than due to any specific tactical battle. Despite their treble creative threat behind Fernando Torres, they struggled to make significant chances in open play, partly because they had trouble working the ball into the zone between the lines. Here, United deserve credit for staying tight in front of the defence, but for the first time this season Chelsea lacked quality passing from central midfield, and were slow at playing the initial forward pass into the final third. The passing graphic shows it well – Chelsea had more of the ball but struggled to work it towards the area, while United played down the flanks:

Chelsea’s 35-minute period of dominance came to an end as soon as it got to 2-2.

If you guys really watched the game you would have noticed Chelsea did nothing in the first and final 30 mins :P

^^ Micheal Cox also says:

Manchester United
went ahead on the counter
as Chelsea dominated the first half, before the away side’s numerical supremacy led to dominance of the final 25 minutes.

And says:

The pattern of the game reacted significantly to the flow of goals. Just as Manchester United sat back at 2-0 up (or Chelsea dominated because they needed to come into the game, to look at it from the other perspective), Chelsea’s 35-minute period of dominance came to an end as soon as it got to 2-2.

His is an opinion that he's not even sure of. What he, I and even YOU are sure of is that Chelsea dominated posession and gave United a torried time (as evidenced by the number of saves the United keeper made, none of which were ROUTINE).

United played a counter attacking game (their usual thing) and, in any other day, would have lost this game. Chelsea were all over them. Go watch the game again badow yaho.

Yeah yeah. :D

Chelsea's possession wasn't much more than Utd's (see the earlier bbc stats). Most of it was in their own half or in the middle third where Utd sat off them. They didn't give Utd a torrid time (as the stats show) and the Utd keeper made only a couple of quality saves (the rest were routine). Utd got their tactics spot on until Chelsea quickened the pace during their 30 mins proper domination. You make it sound as though it was one way traffic.

Now that we have established that, let's talk about Torres. What did he do again? :D

Who has Torres scored against and who has RVP scored against? :P

^^ It's not about who though. It is about him scoring and being there when the chances come. War bahasha baro dee (don't be too English).

As for the United keeper making routine saves, go watch the game AGAIN. Naga daa dee.

He made some routine saves and some great saves. You seem to think they were all great saves.

RVP has been scoring against everyone whereas Torres has been scooring against the lesser teams for the most part. RVP's movement for his goal on Sunday was great.

Dee wax ma aragtid. He has been ok at best and flattered to deceive at worst. The system isn't Liverpool's under Rafa and he doesn't want that as he thinks he can do more than just score (for his Spanish squad inclusion). His play outside of the box has improved but he is a 50m striker. Not a 'he makes great runs and scores against weaker defenses' striker.

Wax fahan yaa Andy Townsend :D

Oz

Knew this wasn't a simple fixture! Can't complain with the result, Swansea deserved their late equalizer and point.

I know Torres had a header cleared off the line, but he's goal drought is becoming a worry again. I think it starts to affect Torres' game when his not scoring. I just don't see why RDM doesn't tell him to shoot when he's one-on-one. He seems to always slow down in these situations, then try and cut in and it's so frustrating! The guy he cuts in and tries to pass to could score from the rebound if the keeper saves his shot anyway. He's good enough to at least hit the target so why not test the keeper?

Well played Swansea. Hope Mata is back for Wednesday!

Chelsea vs Liverpool..

4pm kickoff at the Bridge this Sunday.

Our record against these boys isn't too clever in the premier league but with a loss and a draw in the past 2 premier league games we need to get back to winning ways. Hopefully Mata will be fit for this(?) but we've got a tricky European tie with Shakhtar mid-week to negotiate safely which isn't the best way to prepare! I'll pick a team/result after Shakhtar.

PS:I hate it when we play against Licerpool, they always raise their game and make it hard for us! I'm gonna say Torres will get his first goal against Liverpool, 1 - 0.

Come on Oz :D

We will create chances but Mata, Oscar and Hazard will be very difficult to deal with. We will need to be more compact in the middle and press better.

We also have Suarez the magician :)
