Waxaan la yaabanahay waji gabaxa ku dhici doono Oodweyne maalinta madaxda SL la arko ayagoo ka dagaya Adan Cadde Airport, war adeerow waxan waa siyaasad iyo Opportunity, a S!lly man will take the rants of Silanyo and Waraabe seriously, If the political price is right and if the share of the cake is too great, then Somaliland will catch the next flight to Muqdisho, and that is what will happen soon. Watch the space.

Who would've thought just one year ago, that The Interior minister of Somalia will entertain his governors in a Kent room.

Let it be known to the democratic and civilized societies of the world that we are a backward people stuck in the tribal mentalities of centuries past, we refuse to evolve or change our ways and come to grips with the only democratic and progressive state in the horn of Africa.

What else do you expect from these leaders, they know they have a good chance of being lynched or assassinated if they talk about a re-union at the moment, but the process of the brain Detoxification has begun in Kent last week and the ice was broken, now they are feeding you with slow and small dosages of compromises, until we see you singing Guulwadow Siyaad again.;)

Talks is good we always welcome talks that the people of Somaliland and Somalia talk don't we talk here everyday so talking is not a problem but i know for sure that the people of Somaliland made their choice the politicians in Somalia have is either accept and swallow it. Or reject it and than see what happens i prefer they chose the latter :D So talking is not a problem its more about coming to an understanding Mukulaalow.

I cannot even comprehend how a phantom movement like "Awdal State" has any legitimacy when none of its so called leaders have not stepped one foot into Awdal region of Somaliland. They administer no physical territory, and only exist in rented party halls of the diaspora and servers of the web.

Whereas Somaliland actually governs and administers the region, provides essential services to its people indiscriminately, and fully allows them participation in the democratic process and are represented in all levels of government....and yet people are insane enough to say the government of Somaliland is somehow oppressing them? Give me a break.

Adeer these are not talks just for the sake of it, these are serious talks facilitated by non other than the stake holders who are fed up with Somalia's problems of Terror, Piracy, and famine, and they have decided once and for all to try and solve it with no intention of recognizing SL. Do you remember before the London talks in february most SL solers were saying "it was impossible for SL to attend it", but then what happened? I am afraid but you guys seem to take these politicians seriously. as they say "politics has no eternal enemy or friends, but eternal interest"

^^ Here is the difference in Somaliland they elected their politicians that's the difference they are servants of the people. So in Somaliland people trust their politicians they just don't agree with the policies and think there might be a better approach that's all. Unlike Somalia people are forced to accept their leaders selected for them by the international community given a mandate to operate. So talks is something we all welcome but the question is will it bring solutions for both Somaliland and Somalia?

Let us define what LAND means: As Noun. it means= earth - ground - country - soil - territory - nation

inhabitants who leave in the eastern horn of africa are called Somali and all the area they occupy are called Somalilands. The Somalis are devided into clans, sub-calns, sub-sub-clans into infinity. In reality each clan lives somewhat a defined territory within the Somalilands.Presentday Somalis, majority of them are Ignorant or misinformed though some would claim to have a degree of somesort from some place know or unknow. Also, they are mostly Egotistics, irritable, incoherent and most of all dishonest when it comes to the past and present events. For some strange reason they are very loyal to a stranger than to each other, but I guess it has alot to do with previous mentioned discribtions wich renders them to distruss each other. They love to argue about the trivial things. For fun they like to incite and enjoy to pass their time in insidious actions. Now, Oh ye Somalis be forewarn continue this path and face elimination from the rest of the world and your lands shall pass on to those deserving it, or reform and chose the path your allmighty ALLAAH SWT laid infront of you. Fight against injustice and stand by the righteous, or face the wrath of Allaah SWT, But I doupt you'll ever practice what Massenger Muxammad brought you from Allaah. Allaah Help us.....Peace

They don't actually believe in any 'legitimacy' to be associated with 'Awdal State', rather they (detractors and opponents of Somaliland) think anyone who is interested in causing mischief or otherwise attempting to divide the populace (of Somaliland) should be welcomed, praised and worked with in order to attain a common goal; that is the falling apart of Somaliland governance to be replaced by tribal fiefdoms with undefined borders which will somehow be incorporated into a 'greater Somalia'. I know.... its illogical, border line silly but that is the line of thinking and strategy adopted by the small but vocal disgruntled groups that are running or otherwise well represented on this site.
