Are you sure? Isn't 'jinac' the one that releases the foul odour if threatened? I'm pretty sure it's called stink ant.

In my part of Somalia, We have sub-categories of Jinac..laakiin dhamaantood waa jinac

Noole ure - the one that stinks

Macaan Jecel -

Jinac duulaan - the one that flies

Dhuxun ku reeb - kan marka ku qaniino dirxiga kaaga taga...

 

Let us not spoil the thread saaxiib..

I'm not trying to spoil the thread, but in my part of Somalia jinac has nothing to do with macaan jecel or dhuxun ku reeb.

 

Sakaaro = dikdik.

Gal=yes small ditch that holds water

Maag=settlement usually surounded by fence like ood.That's where magaalo(town)came from.Maag+gaalo(town+infidels)as first europeans erect towns.

Burco=taag,elevated piece of land(usually no trees) surounded by bush.
