The name is Carrays, ya chipis.
:D - that had me in chuckles .
If you want to be proper pedantic - actually the name is Careys Ciise Kaarshe (AUN).
^^ Even you yaa Sayyidka is wrong, magaca saddexdiinuba qumaati u soo saxa, though Sayidka got the closest, Blessed carrabkey ku adkeesey weysa saxdey, Garnaqsi markuu qorayey xanjuu ruugayey
Intaadan dadka akhira u hoyday magacooda nagu qabsan - kayaga si saxa u qor horta
I doubt there is a standard spelling of this name. The versions posted are probably valid variations of the name. As you probably know, for some words and names there is North-South pronunciation contrast that allows the interchange of the letter 'r' and the digraph 'dh'.
I do have a heart and it goes 'dhag, dhag, dhag', standard Somali spelling.
Nice poem btw.
Oh, I see what you did there! Very clever/funny! :D
Garnaqsi, i thought you'd appreciate the full version. I came across it a few days back...
this is a fantastic damnation of the post-colonialism power struggles, i didn't know that
Careys Ciise Kaarshe's material was so political.. Does any one know the history behind this poem?
my fav. verse ( forgive spelling issues)
