Dadka kaliya ee dhaqdhaqaaqi ku jiro ama is xilqaamaya wadankii waa dumar, ama business ha noqoto, ama family affairs, ama outreach...name it, they are at the forefront of every struggle and still, unfortunately, suffer great inequality, violence, abuse and their rights denied on a daily basis( I'd like to think we're making some progress in this area ). Having said that, we are still the backbone of society and we need not be rulers to bring about constructive change. If we try to excel in the roles and responsibilities that Allah (SWT) and the Sunnah has laid down for us, and work in a grassroots fashion, we'll definitely be capable to bring the ever needed hope to our desperate people and change their incredibly disheartening plight. Ta kale, dadkayaga dhibka haysta wax dhowr ciladood lagu koobi karo ma aha. Wax yaalo badan 'went wrong'. However, what I believe our people are in dire need of, is to get educated, to make use of their God-given gift of human reason/logic/rationality, to empower themselves and to rise above the jahiliya they seem to be drowning in...simple way of achieving that is to start reviving the teachings of our deen which many claim to follow yet are far from really following.
