Iska waran=hello

Magacaa=what's ur name

wiil=boy

gabar=girl

Nabad=peace

nabadgalyo=bye

Abwaan

Yusufaddie and those who are interested in learning Somali, here is a question for you: What level are you in Somali? I mean do you ? Speak/Read/Write ? Rate yourselves are you? Beginners/Intermediate/Advanced .

NB: This will make it easy for those who are willing to teach you Somali to set up a proper lesson plan for you.

Look forward to hearing from you,

Beleive im a beginner. Cant speak it,write nor read. Opps guess can read it now but wont understand.

The only somali lesson i got was the numerals to 10 .Taught to greet Makhashekte, the iskawaran. few titles the hoyo, ayeyo,abo, abti ,aye stuff. naming of some food stuff baris, anjera,labenta, subaga,biyah. When comes to verbs guess only kaley fariso.

about time someone starts this indeed, i always ask around the communities about having somali language classes. but i guess the first thing you say u are somali and don't speak somali everyone laughs at you. mojam, that was well presented, thankyou, question to those who know the language so well, how is the sentence structure like? is it like french to english, swahili to english, arabic to english?
