I've said it before this sham 4.5 formula needs major revamp. All of Italian Somaliland is under one clan presidancy which makes mockery of the 4.5 formula. You can't have it both ways. You either retain your Puntland president and have nothing to do with presidency of the rest of Somalia or the president of Puntland is appointed by the self-appointed "president" of the TFG who already appoints leaders for various regions of Somalia.

Socod you keep confusing yourself, the Puntland admin was a building block of the TFG. The aim is to get all regions to start electing their own representatives, simple really.

For example just like Puntland all the areas formerly controlled by the clan courts have now locals running them, these people will go to the polls and elect their local and national represenatives when the time is ready..

I think it's you who's confusing himself. On one hand you support Puntland as a semi-autonomous region above and beyond the executive reach of the president of 4.5 government, a region that selects it's own president while at the same time advocating for the 4.5 formula. The position you hold is internally contradictory. The president of 4.5, AY, deposes and appoints regional leaders as he pleases. But the region he hails from is beyond his authority. Why? Because it says so. Basically this results in all of Italian Somaliland being under one subclan. Either all regions get their leaders appointed by the president of 4.5 or those self-declared semi-autonomous regions withdraw their clan representatives.

Thus your words only make sense to you. The 4.5 formula is for the Somali parliment while the district elections will take place. When that time time comes insha Allah it will be no more 4.5...
