^^^I don't know about secessionist seem allergic to this news, but you are acting like Burco was Riyaals biggest fan. It is not news that reer Burco just about tolerate Riyaal and they have done so for two terms. Why do you suddenly think that it is news worthy  They are not getting upset (that implies they were happy with him at one point) they are just itchy to get rid of him.

JB: No you are not adeer, why are there these clan meetings in Burco, and what was the agreement of the meeting yesterday? Is it not contrary to the posponement of the elections? Thus against Riyaale and thus a rebel act.

Ibti as usual you are clueless, if Burco was just tolerating him as you say for two terms, can we not say that what is happening now is a full blown no more toleration and thus highly news worthy?

Burco is the second most important secessionist town in the triangle and even Somaliland.org is lapping up this. Go ask them why its news worthy.

Calling those meetings as a rebel act only comes from those Military background. There are clan meetings now and then and nothing wrong with it as long as it is not against peace.

Those attended the meeting are just practicing their part of the democracy ..... Nothing one can call rebel unless wishing them to be so.

Many people are against Rayaale and that is normal.

Duky:

You just shot yourself in the foot. Somaliland.org, hence everything in Somaliland is news worthy to them, it always has been! Since Burco us the second largest city in SL I don't blame them for reporting pre election movements. I am asking about your own temporary interest, almost pretending that all of sudden you are the voice of Burco. Give me a break please.

As for your "full blown no more toleration", maybe so, but highly unlikely, in any case it is none of your business, that is for reer Burco to decide and they are good at making their own decisions, they certainly don't need dab***** kaasto suddenly getting on the bandwagon. It won't happen like you wish.

Ibti; again you are having dialogue with yourself. Thus if its news worthy on Somaliland, org its not important to us avid political hacks?

Also did you read the clan meeting agreement or are you as usual just spouting hot air to sound vaguely knowledgeable? You just blew of your legs love. Read the news and analysis then comment.

JB: Adeer its your actions and unusual loss of cool that suggest there is more to this story than meets the eye.

JBlool. Of course it concerns me old boy this about local elections in a Somali province or state.

Again you are making a meal of it. Your silence is an important development here. What is the Udub reaction to the rebeling brewing in Burco?

Bilan: if you look at the report its from a secessionist website called Somaliland.org and not from the Duke.

Somalia: Somaliland clan conference worries government

HARGEISA, Somalia Mar 13 (Garowe Online) - The administration in Somalia's breakaway region of Somaliland is increasingly worried about a clan conference that opened Wednesday in the city of Burao, Radio Garowe reports.

The conference was attended by more than 100 delegates, including traditional elders, intellectuals, business leaders and lawmakers belonging to the ***** sub-clans of Habar Jeclo and Habar Yonis.

On Friday, the Burao clan conference concluded successfully and the delegates issued a signed declaration.

A key clause in the signed declaration stated: "The presidential election must be held in the country [somaliland] on time, which is March 29."

The following clause indicated that delaying the election is "intended to confuse the public," while another clause demanded that the "lawmaking bodies [parliament] must reach a decision about the leadership in the country" following the April 6 deadline, when incumbent President Dahir Riyale's extended term in office expires.

Mr. Awil Ali Du'ale, Somaliland's finance minister, told local media in the regional capital Hargeisa that the clan conference is Burao "will change nothing."

"It bothers me a lot when I hear that clans are meeting, especially when the election is so close…it is the nation backtracking. It is better that political parties meet [instead]," Finance Minister Awil said.

He called on the public to uphold the peace, while urging the opposition to declare that they will peacefully accept election results.

Somaliland's main opposition party Kulmiye has vowed not to recognize Riyale's government after April 6, when his extended term in office expires.

The Somaliland election commission recently delayed the presidential election from March 29 to May 31, forcing Kulmiye to demand the establishment of a caretaker government.

The political crisis in Somaliland continues to deepen, especially after Kulmiye party's demand that the two houses of parliament appoint a caretaker government gained support from major clan-groups in the region.
