if you known, can you explain?

There are no disputed land between Somalia in Kenya whether Sea or Land. Even NFD now part of Kenya, international community is not aware any disputed land between the two countries. The former Somali government and Kenya had agreement.

I do not if you understand what dispute land means. Kenya is looking beyond the 200 Miles and presenting to this document to UN, they will have good chance getting what they are asking for. Kenya may get help from other countries, more likely west oil companies.

What Somalia can do now?

Fire this government and the parliament should assign experts to do the job. Somali should claim more than it is current borders to end up even. We known the West and UN will definitely favor Kenya.

Like most of you I am very concerned about the MOU and its impact on our maritime boundary with Kenya, which is clearly trying to take advantage of the absence of proper functioning government in Somalia.

This smells fishy!. Why was the agreement signed by the so called Minister for "National Planning and international corporation"? Where is Mr Omaar, our so called Minister for Foreign Affairs? This is a disgrace.

^^^This has frightened me more than anything else. The Iselands are ours and maybe the Kenyans know there is Oil & Gas in that location.

Anyhow this Minister must be sacked. The land is for our future.

Had it been the previous TFG the one signing this agreement, some lots would have made tons of shitty by now. It smells fishy and this TFG is in no position to sign any thing that is involved Somalia's territorial, land or sea.

Sophist, salaam saaxiib.

Sophist is is this an agreement of maritimate demarcation or a mere memo of understanding and acknowledgement of a maritime disupute?

the delimitation of maritime boundaries in the areas under dispute, including the delimitation of the continental shelf beyond 200 nautical miles, shall be agreed between the two coastal states on basis of international law after the commission has concluded its examination

Laakiin waxaa cajjiib ah sababta hadda loo shaaciyey maritime dispute aan hore runtii dadka intiisa badan u maqal. That's what is fishy about this so called memo of understanding.

Xiin, it's an "acknowledgment of maritime dispute" they said, have we ever heard of that dispute and how long had it been there? Why now with this weak Somali government?
