Real Talk: Secessionism - - - On What Grounds?

Recommended Posts

Let’s start with this kid Somaliland was a country before it united with Somalia in 1960. The union was to create a great Somalia including Djibouti Somaliland Somalia Nfd and Somali galbeed.

But in reality only the somalilanders where chasing that dream. And the konfuurians where actually looking for power see you’re a kid , let me tell you how this union took place. Cigaal raxmatullahi when to Mogadishu then Prime minister of Somaliland chairman of the snl party Somali national party. Went to the south Met with abdilahi ciise to create this so called union abdilahi ciise then prime minister of Italian Somalia. Any how cigaal his plan was never to look for power or looking for kuri his idea was first to unite these people and then look what you can do you with your political Brain. And that’s exactly what he did. When the konfuurians asked. Cigaal what do you want for your people. He said what do you mean. calshaan maxaad rabtiin his answer was war nugu darra. Somali oo idill baan isku keenayna, they coudent believe it they kept saying maxaad rabta. Calshan kursii ninkasa na kursi ba uma muuqaan. They never thought a country joined you guys bal xishooda oo kursii siiyaa. Hadaad caasiimada qadaatiin iyaka na waxaad siisan raisal wasaare ama madaxweyne.

But what did they do they took the president the prime minister the head of the military the head of parliament. May xishoon the capital, but waxaso dhan oo dhacay waxa lugu qanacsana somaliweyn. Because cigaal and his team really believed their time would come and it came after 7 years. Abdirisaaq xaji xussein when he became prime minister he was asked why did you put in your cabinet mostly Somalilanders. He said these are the people with knowledge don’t you see they are the teachers in every school university in Mogadishu. These are well trained intelligent civilized people. They have their own knowledge and that’s what Somalia needs right now. Smart man.

That’s what somalinimo is that’s what sacrifice is for the cause. Damn konfuurians caqliga ma lahayn.

Any way in the 50 in colonial era in Ethiopia cigaal micheal maryama Went to the Emperor of Ethiopia. Pushing for independence for part of Ethiopia kilinka shanaad or put it under one sort of federal state with in Ethiopia just like Eritrea. Micheal maryama and Cigaal went to the Emperor haile sellesie in his palace in adiss ababa where some of his cabinet members where including The son of the lade mad mullah. Muhammad Abdulla Hassan his son. The Emperor welcomed cigaal and Michael maryama and set what is your plans. They said we want in the long term a federal state for the Somali region with in Ethiopia. He said why, they said because we believe our people need to have a choise of their own in the future, The Emperor laughed and said here you see The late son of the mad mullah. And The Emperor asked to the son of the mad mullah. Was your dad an Ethiopian freedom fighter or a Somali freedom fighter? The late son of the mad mullah replied and said my father was an Ethiopian freedom fighter. Micheal maryama and Cigaal where shocked what could they say , they could only fly back to Hargeisa Somaliland . wajii xummo we where these kind of people. Looking for somalinimo during colonial times.

Another case Djibouti, Djibouti’s freedom can be thanked to the somalilanders who fought for Djibouti’s independence,. The first guy to raise an Djiboutain flag in DJIBOUTI. In 1977 was a guy from gabiley.somaliland .

Same can be said about Somaliland in 1960 ninki beerta xooriyada calanka somaliyeed ka taggay wan in reer somalilanders ah waliba gabay oo tixii raaciyee sareye ma nusqaame aynu eegno siidu yahay kana sib kana saar. Dadki oo dhintay oo soo halgamay muj xajii suudi. Muj sheikh basher muj farax omaar. Fighting the british.

And think about it we risked our independence in 1960 for somalinimo . Somali aan la isku keenii karayn. Somali who where only thinking about political power while we where looking for Somali power.we fought an evil dictator who invented clan politics who you said he is a wadani. A true nationalist. The guy invented clan politics. Kid this is the same guy who wanted you not to live in caraiga somaliyeed. Total destruction he even called for total genocide of your people Lets start with this . the brave mujaheed in of the s n m sayiduna nabiuna maxammad where established in dhir dhawe . dhirdhawe is your land not some tigray or amhaar land you attacked and freed your land from your own land,

Ta labaad when they used to say wiil yar baad tahay ninka somalilanderku ma geeyo gaadhi landcrusierer ina gumeed ma gunimada baad jecelayd inad ku noolatiid.

Markay lahayeen, dhulkaga reero Ethiopia dagga ayaanu qassab ku soo dadjinaysa adigu ma dayuus baad ahayd oo waad iska ogalaan laahyd.

Markay lahayeen dumarkinanu baan idin tartansiinayan oo quruxdanu hargeisa ku qabanayna adugu ma mukhawad baad ahayd oo waad dawanaysa marka hadaba rag ba waxaaso dhan diiday

Oo hadh cad oo galay inay ka saran cadawga ummada somaliyed iyo cadawaga Ummada reer Somaliland iyo cadawga islaamka eeh quranka ku tuntay in 1974 ooh is yidhi quraanka ku baddal socialism iyo qashinka nocaas ah. Adeer wiil yar baad hadaba tahay rag ba diiday. Oo yidhi dawladan anaga cidhibyada oo taagnay anaga se dummin karna tii na way dhacday. Wana mashallah Somaliland manta.

lol ta labaad what the hell do we actually got from that union. Nothing anaga is daalinayne oo is waalnay. Somali aan is rabbin la isku ma keenii karro anaga idinka waalnayn. And today we reallze the only way to fight qabil is to support Somaliland because it’s a multy tribal society. And that’s the only if your support Somaliland you support. Somalia to be free from qabil.somaliland interest comes first whether Ethiopia benefits fro that or not its not our case our interest comes first. And that is jiritaanka Somaliland wa muqadis. Because these people put their interest and rights before any other thing and that’s something to be proud off.

Shabeele,

Somaliland doesn't care what you think.

And I honestly couldn't care less what Somaliland thinks, either.

As I said, sooner or later you will beg to rejoin.

Xaaji Xunduf,

You have analyzed three key factors:

- Sharing of state power between the ex-British Somaliland and ex-Italian Somaliland.

Also, you have brought an argument in the form of: ''We sacricifed everything for Somalinimo and received none in return''.

The rest of your story, which I had difficulty to follow since you jump from one case to another, was about the atrocities Barre's regime committed.

So we have three factors which are used to justify the secessionist path.

We will discuss them when the others join the debate IA.

-------------------- ---

Red-Sea,

You dont have to answer to me, I'm just opening a debate in which I'm interested to hear your believes.

There is nothing to be afraid of bro, just explain your believes and if you dont feel like please leave the thread and just watch it from the sideline.

One-liners that stirr the debate to a tit-for-tat game are undesirable in this debate.

hey,

the greatest myth amongst my folk is that we were after somalinimo but got nothing in return.

these people have short memories.

they should ask themselves this very question.

when did somaliland see it's highest era of progress?

when we were a nation?

or during the last 18 years?

:Di guess you were asleep all these years when somaliland was kissing eithopian ***. letting our enemy who occupies somali lands use the port of BERBERA. why do you think our dear riyaale survived all these years?

both somaliland and puntland have worked with eithopia. eithopia has played both provinces like fools.

have you heard of the term divide and rule?

the british coined that phrase. look it up. may be you will learn something today

shabeele,

Beg who, you? :D Get your act together. Adeer this inflated pride you have is troubling surely you must not be in tune of what the world thinks of you. You're disaster and shameful to us all. Ninyow I'm glad somaliland declared independence from your lot and I hope somaliland never reconsiders that wise decision in 1991. So far we've gained, while you've been stagnent.

Mejji,

ok adeer I'll leave your thread. I was only one of few who paid attention to this silly thread anyways. Good luck. smile.gif

Xaaji xundjuf,

Somaliland gooni isu taageedu waa muqadas sax? Hadii aad taas aaminsantahay, dee maxaad iskugu dayaysaa inaad qanciso dad aan shuqul ku lahayn somaliland. These people have no jurisdiction in our decision, our destiny is in your hands not these emotion ridden cyber intellects. Now ha isku daalin horaa loogu daalay ciyaalkane. :D
