Secondly the ssdf was formed on democratic principle in order to get the rights back of the people who voted for the late "Abdi-Rashid Sharmarke", AUN

And those voters were Kenyans? More importantly, wasn't Abdullahi Yusuf the only leader the SSDF knew? And later it has to be disbanded because he refused to share power and tallo?

Little Cowke, you are too young to know all this history accurately and I don't blame you. I blame those who took you to a carefully carved museaum of history, where fairy tales are presented as history. Xinnfanin is to blame. He knows all this and yet he doesn't want to teach you to spare you some self-hate.

Do you have any idea why we fought against the Kenyans huh? Do you have any idea why my & your brethren fought against the Ethiopians? For SOOMAALINIMO & GOBANNIMO. Something your clan infested cockroach of a mind can't comprehend. Calling a whole clan rebels just because you disagree with a like-wise clannish person is a foolish thing to do. Abtigis if somaliland is so much ahead of puntland as you argue. Why are their 28 000 somaliland refugees in bossaso. Yet not 1 ssdf refugee in hargeisa?

Verification of 28,000 somaliland refugees can be found on the reputable armed conflict database below.

http://acd.iiss.org/armedconflict/MainPages/dsp_HumanAndEconomicCost.asp?ConflictID=198&YearID=1144

Secondly bro. Puntland is not trying to compete with anyone in somalia. Puntland is looking way beyond somalia. For example the first region to actively explore for oil is who? it is puntland. Why? because they seek to look beyond basic hand-outs such as hargeisa. Lets not kid ourselves, that is what hargeisa lives upon, it's mere hand-outs.

Lastly, Puntland never cut from somalia or close itself from other somalis. We still provide troop and funds from bossaso taxes to the tfg and playing an active role in finding peace in the nation. If we wanted, we could shut our doors to and just focus on ourselves but we are above that and have better morals then that.

Abtigis, You are really a disgrace to compare onlf or somaliland to the patriotic state of puntland. Because it is only puntland that is helping itself and at the same time playing an active role in helping their brothers. Yet the onlf and somaliland just help themselves, whilst ignoring the rest of the nation.

Two huge set of morals. 1 is islamic moral which teaches to feed yourself and then feed your brothers. Which is puntland morals. Whilst onlf and somaliland follow un-islamic moral of jahiliyah and just care for their own clans.

Don't make me start on the political power set up in somaliland or the onlf and show you how puntland still leads you in fairness and equality . All the onlf top officers come from (m.z) people whilst ignoring their fellow onlf clan members and forget about the other tribes that settle in the region, they have no input whatsoever lol.

Whilst hargeisa parliament sharing is set up with 57 seats for snm, 13 seats for awdal people, 6 seats for darwish, and 4 seats for makhir.

57 seats is 70% stakehold. That is majority rule and no other clan stands a chance in voicing their opinion. That is what you call a clan state.

Whilst Puntland is set up. 31 for ssdf. 17 for darwish. and 10 for makhir. and remainder seats distributed between other groups in the regions.

Now even though puntland set up is not perfect and we are adamant to change it. But the ssdf clan only controls 45% of the power. That is not majority stakehold. Because a majority stakehold is anything above 51%.

However even though the power set up needs to be more finely tuned, the main reason why this was done is because the darwish and makhir people already have seats in hargeisa and therefore can't eat from two cakes.

However worst case scenario is 45% is better then 70% stake-hold in the power process. And 45% is way better then having all the (m.z) dominate the onlf movement whilst ignoring other people in their region.

So please stop throwing baseless arguments, because you know when I cawke step up to the plate, their is hell to pay.

Abtigis, Abdullahi Yusuf spent years in jail for goodness sake, he battled alot for that spot. The only issues he was having with was with hassan abshir who considered himself also the head of the ssdf branch. This was resolved through voting and the community at that time preferred abdullahi yusuf because he was military man and somalia was heading towards bad times.

Brother Cowke, It is hard lumping you in with other puntlanders smile.gif

But I sometimes donot understand what facts you refer to, your doctored statistics or your historical analysis, finally the conclusions you reach, are so oddly deduced that only you perhaps are not being clear for the rest of us to understand.

Firstly are you saying that the formation of the SSDF in 1978 was a direct result of the usurpation of power in 1969? Do you then say that the overwhelming majiroity of the SSDF was made up of more than one Clan?

Do you then Say that taking up arms was acceptable only by that clan for the restoration of a 10 year old status quo, even though the man who was to be retured to villa somalia was long dead by then?

Do you contend that only the actions of the USC and SNM are to be blamed for the degeneration of the Siyad Barre regime to a genocidal one?

As for your statistics saxiib even if taken for face value would still show that the Somaliland parliament is representative of a greater cross section of the somali clan system than puntlands, which is the division of spoils among first cousins no less, when in Somaliland 3 clan groups are represented with approximately the same number of seats as their population size warrants.

well, we now witness the advent of dubious debutants roguishly assigned with 4 fictional posts as the latest release. :D:D It was to be expected that as the conventional army is routed, organised communal militias will be used to mount a hit-and-run attacks.

My Sports teacher and school football team coach had a trick which he was very fond of. He used to give our main strikers un-matching numbers such as 2 and 3 in the belief that rival coachs would be hoodwinked and will fail to mark the real strikers because they mistake the number 2’s for defenders; as if this ploy would not be immediately detected as the game starts. :D You recruit a new pirate to the site and you donate him with 4 posts to hoodwink me and the readership. What a smart invention!

As the militia’s are deployed the attempt to smuggle them as if they are actually trained and have passed the “national service” is comical. 4 posts and August 2009 it reads, for napoleon.

But who heard of Napoleon before this night? As the heat gets to the Punties, all tricks in the books will be used. Who is next? Garibaldi or Von Bismarck?

Thankful

Abtigiis & Tolka, what are you complaing about? You've been here less then 2 years and already have over 4500 posts. You're relative newbie and you have the audacity to complain?

If you spent more time focusing and studying Eritrea and how they were able to liberate themselves from the Ethiopians and not on Puntlanders on Somaliaonline, maybe your region would be free.

Your obession with Puntland will only eat you up inside.
