The Long awaited sequel of the article

Going Up By Going Down

Tira Mi Su

What does the above title mean?

a. An Italian Dessert, very delicious chocolate cake?

b. A Japanese mountain

c. It Means "Lift-Me-Up"

If You answered c. You are right,

If a. was your choice you are close, there is a delicious dessert by that name, its meant to lift you up when you take a bite, but don't eat too much of it, its fattening, you will sink down in your own weight.

What goes up, comes down, except for a good word of kindness you express to others or a good deed you perform to seek pleasure of your maker. Allah SWT says in Quraan:

" Toward Him, do good words ascend, while He uplifts a good deed (for acceptance)" "

You see walaal, everything we say is recorded, only the good words get uplifted for a reward and recognition, these are words that stem from pure ikhlaas, and follow the example of the Sunnah, other words we say, go down in history with shame, a bad word can lower you to hell tumbling down for 70 years.

As the Italian dessert's name implies, we all want to be lifted up from the gutter we live in called earthly life, in which man descends to record lows in his actions toward fellow man and thus to his own demise, we want to go up to heaven, to Dar Es Salaam ( Palace Of Peace), to join our loved ones, our Prophets, Siddiques, Martyrs and to accompany the pious.

But, wishing for that lift off is not good enough, one has to examine her deeds, and see if she has enough take off power for the iman rocket to take off, but as we fire our engines for the lift off, the excess loads that we carry known as worldly toys drags us down, thus preventing the desired lift off, our worldly concerns of wealth and pleasure takes such a heavy toll on our ability to escape the gravitational force of the worldly love.

When we become aware of that problem, we need not only to offset that downward force by an upward force, but also to add more force to ascend to the heavens, Allah SWT says in Quraan:

"Qad Aflaxa man Zakkaahaa wa qad khaaba man dassahaa " meaning:

Successful is the soul that Lifts itself up and the soul that lowers itself has indeed made a loss.

That is right, don't shake your head in disbelief, Contrary to common references from Quraanic Tafaseer, translations, the meaning of Zakaa in Arabic does not directly mean cleansing, in the first place it means when something rises up to a higher ground, its said ZAKAA, Arab aristocrats used to live high on hills ( ZAKAA) while the lower class lived on the valleys ( DASSAA) just like how in the Quraan its referred to ( Yadussuhu Fi Turaab), so when we say Zakaa, in Classical Arabic, we mean, ascend, or rise up, . So our solid iman can help us literally to ascend when we do good deeds or say good words , or write good articles on the web. ( you guessed right, this is my own secret plan, to rise to Jannah using SOL boards as springboard )

e-Nuri, a promising upscale growth enterprises on the net, is pitching these Hasanaat lift off gears to give you a special lift, much better than the Italian cake & Ice cream mix, sharing with you on these SOL boards secrets of what lifts you up and what drags you down, because unlike this dog-eat-dog world, eNuri's own lift off is tied to assisting you to rise to the occasion, for example, for few Dollars you send home allows you to employ our Sadaqah baloons for your lift off, it will remove unbearable weights off from your back on the day of judgement, because the more indisposed wealth in your care, the more weight you need to offset to lift off, therefore, Sadaqah balloon is the offsetting force you need to rise above your worldly woes to touch the face of heaven, to help you lift off to escape worldly gravity, Allah instructs His Prophet SAWS (khud min amwaalihim sadaqatan tudahiruhum wa tuzakkiihim bihaa wa salli caleyhim, inna salaatuka sakanun lahum wallaahu samiicun caliim) Take away from their wealth a charitable portion to the benefit of the less fortunate ones, which will purify their wealth, thus lifting them higher in( Allah's measure)

But not everyone is choosing to rise up, because their investments on earth in terms of material wealth is so huge, they opt for staying on low grounds with their possessions, but little do the know that they will leave their toys behind them, regarding this type of humans, Allah SWT says in Quraan:

" Wa law shiinaa la rafacnaahu bihaa, wa laakinnahu akhlada ilal ardh) meaning, " If we wanted , we could have lifted him up with (iman) but he opted for staying behind on earth with intention to last forever ( which he cant) "

In another verse Allah is asking " Athaaqaltum ilal ardh ?" meaning " are you heavily bound on earth (due to your possessions weight) ?" by foregoing Allah's liftoff offer, we are falsely appraising our worldly possessions to be more valuable than Allah's promise, we are like kids who dont believe their parents.

Zakaa also means Namaa, ( Ziyaadah fil kheir ( an increase in goodness ), so in a way, its a growth business, its was reported that Prophet Muhammad SAWS said " Maa naqasa maalun min Sadaqah" Wealth is not reduced by giving away Sadaqah ( Charity ) ).

Thus wealth grows with sadaqah and is reduced by Usury ( Ribaa) , Allah SWT says: " Yamxaqullaahul Ribaa wa yurbii al Sadaqaat" meaning : Allah casues usury to fail while increasing the value of charity " a fact any businessman or businesswoman knows that capital will grow when a business expands to gain market share toward long term profitability, otherwise it goes down, so the only way to stay in business is to keep growing, but no business can grow without being efficient, a sound business strategy calls for a ballance between suppliers, customers, empoyees, products and services.

Similarly, we as humans, are dealing with many forces in our attempt to ascend to Allah SWT, like our own self evil ( Nafs ammarah bil suu) , Satan, love of wealth, perfumes, nice cars, homes, gardens, Qaat, and the opposite sex, thus by removing theses dragging forces which inhibit growth of the soul and its rising higher to its maker, we ascend in peace. Therefore you may ask, what drags us down?, well how about own worldly desires for starters? I am sure you know what i mean!

Dunyaa Desires! Its said that as kids, our strength is concentrated in our feet and legs, so we jump and run around tirelessly, later when we hit the teens, our strength moves up from our feet to our middle parts, hormones kick in and we suffer a conflict of desires and values, when we hit our 30ties our bellies get bigger, ( Allah knows what is in it) , our energy is concentrated on our waist ( No sports, exercise, and a lots of pasta), @ 40ies our strength moves to our minds, Allah SWT says " Xattaa idhaa balagha ashuddahu, wa balagha arbaciina sanatan When a man reaches his peak strength (mental+Physical) @ 50ties n beyond we seek presidency of Reer Qansax in Somali elections to get a false high while chewing on the weed drugs we call Qaat.

Dassaa, in Arabic means to lower one's soul with sins, just like kufr means to hide one's natural beliefs, so when a soul is hidden in the earthly mud, it cant rise up, it needs to be purified from the muddy dirt that covers it, so that it can seek its maker, When you live high above, with morals that benefit people, like charity, cheerfulness, honesty, helpfulness, generosity, people look up to you in respect, when you cover yourself with mud of mistrust, suspicion, hatred, envy, you are down the sewage, so saaxib why not soar with the eagles, instead of tumbling down in your dunuub dirt?

Zakkahhaa, therefore means soaring above, dassaahaa means lowering ones self. We all need a liftoff force, the Taqwaa fuel, to escape dunyaa gravity, because our sins (dunuub) are weights we have to free ourselves from to soar above it all.

An Old Article For New Nomads

Nurtel Wordcraft Presents:

Getting high, by going down under

There are two ways to go high by going low

To experiment with the first one, let us take an imaginative trip to the south of Somalia, ( Sorry Somali Landers, and Puntlandians). Today we go to an archipelago of islands off the coast of Kismayo, known by locals as Chula and Chawaay. In my last visit to that island, the locals, Somali Bajunis who speak Swahili, treated me so well, I almost thought of settling there, extremely generous people who captivated me with their cheerful character and hospitality. One condtion, you must enjoy eating Qubo, the marine turtle, known for its vitality enhancing power.

After the morning breakfast, we head to the beach where a small boat is waiting paddled by a dark muscular guy who wears a smile so precious, if sold to depressed people in New York, Los Angeles or Toronto, could easily fetch a million dollar tap. Now we ride the boat with Juma, I say, " Jambo, habariako? " Jambo sana, Nur, habari ya jamayaako, lama goodle"? responds Juma jubilantly. " madaxfalluuq?, I quip. We then go packing our boat with food, our scuba tanks and equipment, and off we go to a nearby reef. Before we go down, we put on our masks, strap our weights, put on our fins, tighten our jackets, read our tank meters, say our dhiker, ( bismillah, twakkaltu calaAllah, wa laa xawla walaa quwata illaa billaah) and splash down, on our back first. What a feeling! subxaanaAllah! Seconds later, everything is calm, down in the warm waters of the Indian ocean , except for sound of blue bubbles, as we descend, we periodically equalize pressure of our eardrums interior with the exterior pressure of the water which is increasing with depth as we descend.

Now we come in contact with the inhabitants of the planet down under, a collection of living crustaceans, colorful corals and tropical fish on a background of the turquoise crystal clear water of the Indian ocean decorated by the strong penetrating rays of sunlight creating a 4th of July kind of tantalizing effect. Moments later, a shark is spotted circling around us as we descend, the shark, is sizing us up ( who are these guys?). Like Somalinet Forum Scumbags, a shark will not attack you if you are down under with him, his eye lenses see you a one-fourth bigger than your real size, which in the law of the jungle means ( Ninuusan warankiisu ku gelin, weedhiisu kuma gasho). In contrast, a shark only attacks when you soar above him, in which case he mistakenly thinks you are an easy prey for a kill, a prey that can not defend itself. The shark after few circles, leaves us in peace, not in pieces, Alhamdulillah, compliments of our Dhikr we invoked before we took the dive for which the angels responded ( Hudiitum, wa kufiitum)

As we breathe in and out of our compressed scuba tanks while descending, the mixture of air in our tanks creates an interesting effect called Nitrogen Narcosis. ( sarkhaannimada Naytroojiinka). This effect is equivalent to a narcotic effect or an alcoholic intake which impairs judgment below hundred feet. Nitrogen as any Chem one-o-one student knows, is an inert gas, goes in and out of your lungs without any energy transformation effect, but at high concentration, the nitrogen, along with the oxygen and carbon dioxide and other trace gasses, obey Jaalle Dalton's law which causes Oxygen toxicity while at the same time enhancing the effect of other contaminant gasses on your brain which makes a pesron behave funny.

As you descend further down, the hallucination increases, and you literally go high while going down, hence the exotic title of this topic, some excited victims of this phenomena were reported to have fought off their rescuers until they sank to their assured death.

This effect is similar to the way some Somalinet Scumbags get high by living and posting lowly materials, the lower they go, the higher intoxicated they get, scaring away decent readers and family oriented browsers, until one day they wake up in a non familiar environment, and face an interrogation by two serious angles called Munkar and Nakiir, for their arraignment interview, followed by their subsequent classification and holding in the temporary penitentiary known as Barzakh, after which they will be hauled to their permanent home of misery and pain, so they can pay for their evils on earth which they thought will never catch up with them. A bad calculation indeed.

So, to avoid the above horrible scenario, these evildoers can go get high in a different way:

The second way of getting high by going- low, is to bow down in prayers, the more times you go down, the higher you get in happiness and self fulfillment, also, Allah SWT will resurrect you in higher rank in the next life when you have gone down on your knees many times out of Allah's love and respect. The prayers will help you avoid evil ways that will cost you dearly, and will help you choose your words and actions for a higher (ROI), and as a result you will be loved for your good actions on earth and fully credited in the hereafter, instead of being feared for your evil ways, like Machiavelli suggested in his famous book, Prince, and as implemented by modern warlords and politicians to rule over and mislead ignorant masses.

Allah SWT says: "We have created man in the best of forms ( perfection, when man lives up to the purpose of his creation), and then ( as a result of his failure to live up to his place in Allah's dominion) we demoted (some of mankind) him to the (level of the animals) lowest of the low" Meaning Translation courtesy of Nurtel Tran- Semantics Service.

So if you are bottom feeder, and dweller, remember, that you can only go up from where you are if you heed my advice. Literally an uplifting message from a caring paesano.

Didn't know it meant 'lift me up'...neat!

That was a very inspiring read Nur, as are all of your written pieces...Jazakallah Khair.

I'll come back to read the 2nd article insha'Allah.

Viking Bro.

Whatever happened to the Somalinet crowd? are you keeping in touch with any? e-Nuri is looking for a screen name called " Now and Then" if you remember, I found her articles the most raw, and mind provoking, my most memorable articles were in response to her questions.

Abraar sis.

Allah SWT says: Qul man xarrama zinatallahi allatii akkhraja li cibaadih WA TAYIBAATI MINAR RIZQ? say, who prohibited the enjoyment of the beauties Allah placed on earth for His servants, and the GOOD FOODS? no one should, go indulge sis, but remember, when you eat these calries laden foods, think of howm many miles you have to run to get rid of them, you need 3 miles run for a 600 calories burn.

May Allah reward you for the two wonderful articles brother.

May Allah make us ones that strive to be lifted up in good deeds. Just like Allah mentioned in his quraan "man kaana yuriidu xarthal akhirati nazid lahu" Whosoever desires the reward of the hereafter, We give him increase in his reward.

And most of all may Allah increase our imaan just like how he made the hearts of asxaabal kahf firm and strong with the light of faith in Allah. Ameen

Nur Yaa Akhii balance in life is a very essential thing. Too much of anything is never good for us. For example take water it contains three simple atoms that are very essential for our body however drinking excessive water can lead to a condition known as water intoxication this produces effects similiar to alcohol intoxication. The excess water molecules enter our cells cells become swollen. Our brain along with our nerves cant hanle the pressure it gives up thus leading to death.

In other words Yaa akhii whoever burdens himself in his religion will not be able to go on. Our aim is to strive to be lifted up high not to sink and go tumbing down for 70years. We can strive to succeed in this worldy life and still be mindful of the hereafter.( Yes that means you can still munch of yourChicago Pizza with extra cheese, mushrooms and green pepper with ease whilst thanking your maker for the delicious pizza he has provided for you)

My Philosophy is live life as you will never die ie think of a career , buy a house a nice black

convertable BMW ;) but at the sametime live life as if today was your last day. Pray , fast constantly be mindful of Allah. Strive for the right path the one that uplifts the spirit and enriches the heart and the mind. Most of all hope your good deeds will be rewarded.

Endeavor

You wrtite;

Nur Yaa Akhii balance in life is a very essential thing.

I couldnt agree more with you here, who is against balance?

You write:

This analogy is not a ONE SIZE FIT ALL, too much of hapiness is not going to kill you, specially in Jannah, wouldnt you agree?

You write:

In other words Yaa akhii whoever burdens himself in his religion will not be able to go on.

Depends the type of burden, a negative burden is like the burden Christians have adopted, Allah said described them in Quraan that Christians have innovated rituals that Allah did not prescribe ( Celibacy etc) still, they failed fulfilling it rightfully: " Wa rahbaaniyatan ibtadacuuhaa, maa katabnaahaa caleyhim, famaa racawhaa xaqa ricaayatihaa" The positive burden, is a true devotion to Allah like the companions of the Messenger of Allah SWT, once they complained to the Prophet for not having the same high iman feeling when they are not with the him, he told them, that life is cycles, and if they have the same iman feeling al the time, that the angels would have descended on them.

You Forgot black Olives?

Allah says in Quraan, : Say, who has forbidden the ornaments (beauties) that Allah has created for his servants, and the tasty healthy of Rizq ( foods), say, its for the believers in this present ( Dunyaa) life, but exclussive for them in the hereafter"

Now this is not easy, let me try to share a different perspective,

Make an effort for this life proportional to the time that you will spend in it, and make an effort for the next life proportional to the time that you will spend in it.

Now, Where do you get the idea that I am not having good time? once I get my hands on the keyboard and log on on Somaliaonline, I feel a joy I cant describe, people around me wonder why I am smiling as i write my eNuri posts, I am literally pulled to an unseen world of Nomads.

I like that idea of making effort in proportion to time. That sets priorities straight.

Nur the unseen world of Nomads thank Allah for letting you take the time to enlighten us.

Nur you have missed my point. Too much happiness will drive you insane or even kill you in this life but not the hereafter as we will never die. :D

My dear brother the type of burden I was referring to is the very one where there is no balance between daily life and cibaada. Where one becomes a extremist, however there is nothing wrong in trying to be near perfection.

Too much cidaa becomes burden and too little of it makes one sink deep down.

I like to keep things very simple and easy. As allah tells us "laa yukalafuallah nafsan ilaa wuscahaa" Allah burdens not a soul beyond its scope.

I prefer to think of the hereafter as a 'heavenly bank', all the good things I do are granted as 'payments' into my bank. If I commit a sin, this brings my payments down(possibly to insufficient balance),but I dont panic for I know that Allah will give me the chance to repay back my debt. Everytime I genuinely repent allah allows me to repay back my debt if my reprenting is sincere.

I dont stop there I am a grateful slave for Allah is the most-forgiving. In my daily life I try my best to build up my balance. How you may ask? I try not repay evil with evil, I try and do good things. This helps me get extra credit on my record. Since I am the only one responsible for my bank account I make sure at the end of the day I reflect on my success or my failures in other words I make a daily balance of my account and see what my balance is. The reason I do this is because I fear the day when my Lord will open my account.(Book) I wish to open my book in advance to see where I will be heading.

So Nur , I have come up with a title for your next topic on SOL. A bank account in heaven? what do you say???

Ramadan kareem Nomads

Ramadan is a month of TAZKIYAH ( LIFT OFF), a month of charity, benevolence, goodwill to others and patience, all of which make up the tools for the liftoff gear to the heavens.

InshaAllah, I will discuss further the gears for the liftoff, the six spoke wheel or boosters that help us rise above our woes to touch heaven.

1. First Stage Fuel: Useful Knowledge

2. Second Stage Fuel: Good Deeds

3. Third Stage Fuel: Self Assessment

4. Fourth Stage Fuel: Self Struggle To Stay The Course

5. Fifth Stage Fuel: Realization Of Death and Drawing Lessons From It

6. Sixth Stage Fuel: The Company and Chatting With The Pious (i.e. @ Somaliaonline Islam Pages)
