^^ Busy with work I bet. Anyway, I didn't understand your point. If the people want it (which we all know they do) and the government wants it, what exactly is your problem? You think it is a mistake? You think it will destroy Somaliland? What!

The people knew nothing until Riyaale's announcement. Do they want it now, probably. The problem I have with it are numerous (well stated by another nomad previously). Also, such a move is usually openly debated by all parties before any decision is made.

 

Its a political card by UDUB to try and sway the elections.

 

Ratification will be delayed and all will forgotten about.

Preventing clans competition and limiting corruption are much more fundamental than pre-electoral crowd-pleasing.

The President had in mind all those you listed and the highlights you mentioned. It seems logical to you but not to him.

 

The new gobollo is the new start of a new face that Somaliland will move to.

 

I believe it is a crazy but right move from the Government.

While the map you posted roughly corresponds with the new Gobols, it does not match with the new DISTRICTS that President Riyale created. This is especially true of the division of Awdal.

 

Do you have a list of where existing districts have been reassigned to the new Gobols?
