Six Somali Men executed in Saudi-Arabia

Interesting.

When you reside in a country, you must obey its laws. If you break the said laws then you will be punished according to the laws of the country.

In this case, they broke a law which is punishable, according to the laws of the said country, by death so pray tell why is there such an uproar?

Because some Somalis have personal issues with Saudis or wealthy Arabs.

And yes I know the answer but you don't deserve any answers! Keep protesting.. This is what I call whackjobs , you just fighting for things your really have no clue about it!!Anyways atleast you understood some thing after 7 pages!! after all you understand some thing

No dear, I understand although its quite difficult through your incoherency and annoying grammar. Its not that you dont want to give me an answer, its because you dont know. Just like you dont know what exactly you're advocating for. Just like with all your posts, you put your feet in it before you head catches on.

I dont even know why I'm bothering with your complete and utter show of idiocy. I too can insult but I reserve it for the big fish. You are so small, its an insult in itself to trade any with you. sir shuqlak xabiibti, you have no business talkin to me.

Nice one Silence, but dont expect a civilised or rational refutation from the arab-wanna-be. They dont question. They are allergic to reasoning. Tell them jump, and they will say "how high". Typical Arab mentality.

Maybe MsWord, you forgot to read the last 7 pages. I will give you the benetfit of doubt. Because they were Somalis. Because they were singled out. Because the law isnt fair and applies to some. Because the said crime and the punishment seem disproportionate.

they didn't even commit these alleged crimes. they were not spreading any corruption in the "land". give me a break for god's sake!. I was there in Jeddah and Mecca and all kind of corruption is out there. Saudis youth do imititate their video games, molest their sisters, rape and kill poor filipino and thai maids and no one is punished for these horrible crimes. pornography, incest and homosexuality are so prevalent that these unislamic acts have become so tolerable and common in Saudi society.

The Somali guys beheaded by the monstrous Saudi slaughterers were held in jail for long six years. After that protracted cruel imprisonment, they were led to the bloodbath courts of the "royal family" for these modern day Gladiator slave masters and lords. they own some huge black guys whose only duties are to chop and severe human limps while the saudi princes gleefully watch for entertainment.

From the start of their incarceration, the poor Somali guys insisted they had nothing to do with the crimes they have been charged with and two of them were not even in Saudi Arabia when these alleged crimes took place. They were forced and misled to sign some documents and confess to the crimes they never commited.

They didn’t understand one word of Arabic and didn’t know that they were signing their death certificates. it was a devious racist deception.

^^ Another thoughtless post. I wonder how many more unthinking disciples of everything Arab will come forth.

Not once have I said the sharia was out-dated nor even attached the actions of the so called court to Islam. I have yet to see what they did being reasonably justified as "corruption on earth".

Kindly get your heads out of your arses. I'm clearly loosing patience with this line of thinking.

what the hell did some ppl say they were against the death penalty and think that sharica is outdated and barbaric?

lets stay on the track, the punishment doesnt fit the crime and the law in that kingdom applies to some and some go scotfree. thats the issue here.

no wonder this thread skyrocketed to 7 pages, ppl aint talking to each other but at each other.

Understand, I'm not stating that what was done to them was right nor deserving or even if they commited what they were accused of but I'm not letting emotions run amock with my fingers either.

Maybe MsWord, you forgot to read the last 7 pages. I will give you the benetfit of doubt. . Because the said crime and the punishment seem disproportionate.

Firstly, the said crime and punishment seem disproportionate to you because the English laws much like the american laws are a bit different but I'm sure we can both agree that if you live in a country, you must obey its laws. If you broke the said laws then you will be punished according to the laws of the country.

You object;

Because they were Somalis. Because they were singled out. Because the law isnt fair and applies to some

So because they are Somali they shouldn't have been punished even if the crime they were "accused of" and apparently been found guilty of, according to "Saudi" Law, is deserving of such punishment?

How were they singled out? Are Somalis the only nationality being beheaded? How is the Law unfair and not applicable to all?

Provide proof in support of your accusations.

Macalimuu, Do you have a source or is that based on hearsay?

كلاسيك أنا غاسله ايدي من هذي!!صدقيني هاي ما عندها منطق ولا العقل .

قلت اكسب من وراها اجر واشرح لها . لكن لاحياة لمن تنادي

Nino Brown, Wallalo, I know sumon bokmon!! Some one here got personal problems with me, nothing to do with the topic .. So don't worry as my friend Classique already say... It's waste of time.I already explained the issue. And it's not me who decides if its fair or not. The court decided and they using their laws accourding of their "mojtaheden or their Mufti" but seems these people hard for them to understand different interpretation of Share'a Law. Whatever we agree with their(Saudis)Interpretation is another case!

Thanks any ways!!

Classique o enty mn ahlo. a5ala9 ele be2edy o anam b3ad.

MsWord, atleast you and I are talking about same thing here whatever we agree or disagree while some here talking some other somalinimo thing!

Mucalimuu, I can't take for your words dear! Propaganda is every where , give me proof of what you saying is true.I, my self will follow their case! I promise!!

Saudi Arabia

AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL

Public Statement

AI Index: MDE 23/005/2005 (Public)

News Service No: 083

4 April 2005

Saudi Arabia: Amnesty International renews calls to end executions immediately

Six Somali nationals were executed in Saudi Arabia today. This brings the total number of those executed in the last four months to at least 51 people including 39 in 2005. Almost two thirds of those executed were foreign nationals.

Four people were also executed on Friday. Amnesty International is deeply concerned at the alarming increase in the rate of executions in Saudi Arabia so far this year and fears that other executions may be carried out in the coming days or weeks.

Earlier on 23 December 2004, Amnesty International issued a statement urging King Fahd of Saudi Arabia to commute all outstanding death sentences after eight men were executed in just one week. With the recent increase in executions, Amnesty International is renewing its calls to King Fahd to end executions and to bring trial proceedings of people facing such punishments in line with international standards.

The secrecy surrounding the criminal judicial system is such that in most cases defendants and their families are not informed of the charges or the progress of legal proceedings against them. An example of this is the case of six Somali men executed earlier today. On 21 February 2005 Amnesty International wrote to the Minister of Interior regarding the status of the six men who Amnesty International feared were being detained despite having served their sentences of imprisonment and corporal punishment. Amnesty International never received a reply to this letter but learnt to today that the men had in fact been executed. The six men were unaware that they were at risk of death .

Furthermore, defendants may be convicted solely on the basis of confessions obtained under duress, torture or deception and trials invariably fall short of international standards for fair trial. Trial proceedings take place behind closed doors, without the defendants being given the right to legal representation, and in the case of foreign nationals, without adequate or no access to consular assistance.

Amnesty International recognizes the right and responsibility of all governments to bring to justice those guilty of recognizably criminal offences. However the organization opposes the death penalty as the ultimate violation of the right to life. The organization is committed to defending all people against the violations of these fundamental and internationally recognized rights.

The organization renews its calls on King Fahd of Saudi Arabia to commute all outstanding death sentences and to bring trial proceedings of people facing such punishments in line with international standards.

Background

Those executed since December last year include 13 Pakistanis, six Somalis, four Filipinos, three Indians, three Thais, five Iraqis, one Afghan, and 16 Saudi Arabian's including one woman.

I don’t venture out to these parts much and it’s quiet obvious why. All you come across are deluded and biased arguments about the most ridiculous things for pages on end.

Hello!!!! But the fact still remains that these were six supposedly guilty Somali men, executed the normal “Islamic†way the Saudi does it and has done for centuries. Now suddenly it’s unacceptable!?

The Saudi has a yearly average of 100 executions!

“This brought the number of people executed in Saudi Arabia to at least 78 in the first nine months of this year, and edged the total over the last decade to almost 1,000.â€

( Amnesty international web page )

So why is that all the nomads on sol suddenly see this as unacceptable? Why is that exactly…huh?

Is it because they’re Somali or because they were innocent?

It’s laughable that people are arguing about the weirdest of things, if you want to have a debate about capital punishments in Islamic states or any state for that matter then by all means do, please but … without the petty personalisation and personal attacks aimed at our only Arab members.

Phanta dear I never had you down as bitter hag but you’re starting to prove me wrong.

You obviously have personal issues with OG and I hope you know that is bordering discrimination and hardly the ideal actions of a moderator.

Amethyst I know you’re just joining Phanta's bandwagon, and of course you’d never turn down a chance to hate on Arabs.

Why are you singling out Somalis? I doubt the most heinous crimes were committed by Somalis in KSA.

But getting back to the real issues, I think you’ll find that since the whole topic is about the execution of six Somali men, then rightly enough Somalis will be the topic…are they not?

And as far as I’m concerned Saudi Arabia is not alone with all this capital punishment stuff, have you all forgotten that other countries like America carry out executions.

America carried out 98 in 1999. source

Plus bearing in mind that we’re Muslims and carry out these executions in the prescribed way the prophet Mohammed (saw) did, then why is it that the Saudi its suddenly so evil yet when the gaal countries do it you turn a blind eye to it all!

WHY?!

Oh and FF dear if you’re simply arguing that sympathy should be shown for the decease then fine, Allah hu naxaristo and forgive them for their sins.
