^^He represents the true face of the anti-governemnt groups.

The face of the looter, the occupier, the thugs.

Nothing religious or nationalistic about it.

^^The TFG is winning Alhamdulilah, it has crushed all oposition, closed doors on allw arlords and has outplayed all secessionist. What matters today is that the capital of Somalia is being brought under the control of a government by any means.

N.O.R.F

Insurgents and Ethiopian troops backing Somali government forces fought gunbattles in Mogadishu on Sunday, while a human rights group said at least 47 people died - some caught in crossfire in the previous day's fighting.

The government, warning of an upcoming offensive, called on residents living in insurgent strongholds to leave their homes.

Sudan Ali Ahmed, the chairman of the Elman Human Rights Organization, said six insurgents and 41 civilians died. Some of the civilians died of their injuries after being wounded during the previous day's heavy fighting, he said.

Ahmed said the figures were based on what Mogadishu residents, hospitals and activists reported to his group Sunday. There were no casualty figures for either Ethiopian or Somali government soldiers

^^^Thus the deaths of 120 individuals in a heavily populated area for 4 days is a massacre?

If the TFG and its allies wanted to Massacre poeople they would ahve killed thousands, they would have chased the civilains out of the city and killed them.

This is war and if truth be told most of the dead were combatants, speacially the side against the TFG.

Four days of heavy fighting and we have a figure of 120 dead, in a heavy populated city

The Ethiopians’ strategy is to wane the shabaabs’ fighting power with these silly, pro-longed skirmishes. The more these skirmishes go on, the worse it gets for the fighting shabaabs. City battles are hard-hitting for the enemy but you still need to be able to sustain the onslaught with fresh backup and logistics which is hard for the shabaabs to acquire without having a break.

A ceasefire will, without a doubt, give the shabaabs another chance to re-group for another encounter. A ceasefire is not in the interest of the Ethiopians at the moment.

^^^Well put though I disagree with the notion that even in a cesefire they can gain a real leverage.

Northerner,

Celebrating what? I have given you a simple fact. A four day battle and the death is 120 dead. If civilians were targeted would it be so?
