The Mission of Revisionists of Somali History: Intellectual Righteousness or Retributive Justice?

As I write, there is a sizeable debate regarding Somali History. It is multifaceted and it touches broad disciplines and areas. In the last couple of years, Somali scholars who reject some core historical narratives of the written Somali history have emerged. These scholars have now become to be known as revisionists of Somali history,although in truth, and on the basis of the radical nature of some of their conclusions, some of them would definitely qualify more as abolitionists of history than revisionists.
