Alone: part 1, 2 3

Recommended Posts

Barren wilderness I travel alone

Far distance I roam

Demons surround me I trust no one

In this mortal life filled with bitterness and strife

Closes to me is, Marry Jane my loaded pistol

I wish it was brief

The senseless never ending grief

To repent or to escape this shame

The curse of time, nothings stays the same

Cold hearted calculations

Men mistake blessed forgiveness

For skin and bone weakness

The sugar in my blood is venom

Men die I never asked why

Deadly visions I see

The unexplained I, becomes a we

My poison some admire

As I sink deeper in this mire

Go ahead take your life with this wire

None can overcome the divine plan

Mortal life run as far as you can

How to nourish the soul?

Human hunger and the lies they told

It’s clear as the plot unfolds

Beloved you I still hold

One more road block to overcome

Recklessly blind heading towards the sun

Short distance forever lengthy

Another moment void, grey and empty

Alone we confront the evil trinity

They smile only to tempt me

Hide not for I see you clearly

Contempt covering Hate complete with Envy

Hope died while Sanity went wrong

Leaving Misery to rehearse that sad old song

Friendship is the devils potion

Testament to their love and devotion

These wounds infected raw and open

In this reckless trade

The ace easily becomes a spade

Was it evil or the change of season?

Go ahead explain what has no reason

Simply Deep! I liked the second one but both were a good read. Makes one go Hmmmmm? and wonder about some things, very describtive with a powerful delivery and I think two of your best posts on this site. Mansha'allah!

They reshuffle what they see

The figure shackled up in the centre is me

A trophy paraded in front of the great pretender

The spoils always go to the grand victor

Who blinked first in search of redemption?

Lord to you I seek help and protection

From men and the cold hearts that don’t speak

Suffering has always guided the weak

Solitude is the road map we seek

Why must I run and you chase me?

Give me peace or let me be

For I seek neither distinction

Nor my lost dignity

Broken and alone in this forever

Strayed from the sacred text never

Yet I now make out the shinning rays of light

As Truth highlights the warmth of the sun

And with anticipation towards it I run

Dawoco, I thank you for the analysis. I

So not all alone after all,

Indeed he had Mary Jane for company throughout the journey.

Beloved you I still hold is another reference to his pistol. :D

In his arrogance he thinks that he alone can overcome this state that he found himself in.

Hide not for I see you clearly

Contempt covering Hate complete with Envy

He lashes out and blames the condition of man as a whole.

A trophy paraded in front of the great pretender

the spoils always go to the grand victor

Always seing himself as the victim and feeling sorry for his painful existance.

Hope died while Sanity went wrong

Leaving Misery to rehearse that sad old song

Yet at the end he gives in and gets of his high horse [pride]. He humbles himself before the lord.

Who blinked first in search of redemption?

Lord to you I seek help and protection

From men and the cold hearts that don’t speak

Staying true to the sacred text, appreciating the ways and plight of mortals was not enough. It was much simpler. The irony is he always knew the answer yet had to search.

Was it evil or the change of season?

Go ahead explain what has no reason

Bravo! Bravo!

Very well done if I must say so myself. I enjoyed reading all three parts of your poem..

I’m not sure which one I like the most, it’s a tough decision because they were all just so delightful. I must agree with Word I think this is one of your best pieces.. keep up the excellent work. Wonder were all this inspiration is coming from.
