MY Somali Queens

Recommended Posts

I recieved this from a friend of mine..dedicated to me of course. :D;) .n why not let my soamli sistah'z in it too...hope you luv it.

this is a poem written for Somali women....by Somali men...apologizing for all the pain that they have inflicted to somali women throughout the years....i guess its there way of saying we love ya ladies....and we are nothing with out ya...

MY Somali Queens..

you have surpassed every obstacle to create what has now become your lives

even braved being our wife's

many have tried to explain the endurance of your pride

but still struggle to understand the courage you posses inside

but as sure as the sun meets its horizon in the distant shores

you were all about weathering storms and fighting through downpours

learning sign languages at times when your speech fell on deaf years

putting on a smile amidst all the pain inflicted to u through out the years

like the times when we hurt u, abandon u, cursed u, disrespected u

for all the sacrifices that you have made

for all the fights that you shouldn't have fought

for the echo of your pain

and for the silence of your laugh

SORRY........is long over due

but forgiveness we trust is part of you

for you are truly a phenomenon in your own right

a majestic eagle upon its flight

you are like the dawn mildew fragrances of jasmine

in beautiful garden scented names...i believe they called you yasmine

and i wish that i had multiple identities

and each identity had split personalities

because i am in love with amina, hodo, shadiya, and naima respectively

i am in love with rahma, amran, and fadumo equally

i love every thing about u down to your dirac when it is blessed with some onsi

you see.....you are my mother, my sister, my niece, my friend, my wife

and i have realized that you are my life

and i could give you mercedes

and whole lot of roses

and even some daises

I could give you expensive cars

and a whole lot of diamonds stars

and even some gold bars

and if you like i could buy you cashmere blouses

and a couple of big house

i could give you all that stuff

but instead i choose to give you my love

because you are my Somali queen

the only in my scene

the one whom i would swim upstream

and rescue in an untold dream

beautiful, intelligent, elegant and still maintaining her diin

I MEAN

who am i but just a fiend for my Somali Queen

keeping it tight as always

captivating soul that was nice

so thank you to the annonymous person who wrote that.. it was nice

let me write an original piece real quick.

this is from me and to my somalian queens,

our hearts and love my dreams and emotional support, my perfected genuine somalian queens. so stylish and modest even at the peak of their light. it's just right to give back our thanks to you. for your beautiful color and hue. that makes me feel high and mighty as if i could touch the sky. don't think this is just another lie it's 2 in the am and i'm truthful at my most nocturnal of times. . thanks for i know i wouldn't be here without a somalian queen, my total spine, that keeps me in line. at times has to give me a jolt or kick me on my behind just to prove a point. my aches and pains my path to true love and guide to my dreamed kingdom. love and pure, your not just another lure but the queens that keep the true throne these days. we men act selfish at times even cruel and degrading. but don't get weak minded and stray away. for i hurt when i see you with another brother. simply adorable honorable the queens i grew fond of. what more can i say for if i said more i would be braggging. smile.gifsmile.gifsmile.gifsmile.gifsmile.gif

wun luv

Somali Girls this is how this King called Shaka Zulu feels about you.

As I stand here today with the world as my witness,

I pledge to you my undying and everlasting love.

I will stand beside you as your partner,

I will stand before you as your protector,

And I will stand behind you as your solace.

Please spend and end your life with me.

i hope you feel the same way about me.

The Somali Queen, a wonderful beauty

Turns darkness to light, this universal cutie

Pushes me to new heights, to fulfill my duty

Her strength and loyalty continues to inspire me.

Her insight and intelligence has always been the key

that relieves my chest of the anxiety and doubts, that sometimes plague me.

Describing her loveliness, I wouldn't know where to begin.

Shall I start with her playful hair, or her gold-copper colored skin?

Whenever she smiles, I know my heart is wealthier than that of a thousand Kings.

and so the butterflies within me, akin to the whirling Dervishes, never fail to spin.
