IGAD supports AU initiative

The AU and IGAD rubber-stamped the Djibouti dictator's one man "election", so Farmaajo is betting on them doing the same for him.

He likes dictators and corrupt countries. Did you see him call Chad president a "martyr"?

In Africa dictators have realised they need each other to survive.

Macron elegized Idriss and called him a courageous leader.  Other westerners came out and encouraged reconciliation. The point is this is a matter of interest, not a matter of good political disposition. If UNSC and AU endorse Farmajo's position, at tomorrow's meeting, it is in their interest.

In regards to calling Farmajo a dictatorship, he is a minor dictatorship considering what Deni and Madoobe do in Garowe and Kismayo. Muse is a one-man show who stole the election from Cirro. Both Sharif, and in particular Xasan extended the terms. Let's put things in perspective. Gaal dil gartiisana sii..

How can they be an honest arbitrators at same time endorse one side's view point? That is absurd thing to come up with Che. I can see you desperately want someone somewhere to approve Farmajo's extension, so the fact that nothing is forthcoming must be frustrating you.

In the end, everyone will be forced to sign on September 19  with no new demands! AU will head the initiative. It is unfortunate, but it would satisfy Deni and Madoobe's demand for a guarantor, and Farmajo's African solutions for African problem trick. He can go back to the parliament and asked to endorse the agreement. Any more troublemakers can justifiably be considered spoilers.

Man, the Franji is playing tricks on us.

All they have to do was tell Dani and Madoobe to sign or there will be sanctions. Case closed. Why they always love to supervise a game of chickens.

The two year extension is an open ended. It could be 13 months, 9 months or less depending how the vote is managed.

Even better, it gives everyone wiggle room.

Exactly. The nation can not afford a vacuum while politicians are bickering.

It is an insurance policy.
