Twenty minutes meal is a quickie? Dude(Like dude!),wat the heck do you cook?

You can basically cook almost all dishes in 20minutes these days. How about a Shakshuuko?[Yes nacasyaals, its a food apparently,L0L]. Tomatos, basal & ukun is all you need. Goes well with Ceesh. icon_razz.gifsmile.gif

Faheema.

Che My favourite quick dish would have to be Chicken Pesto Pasta Here is the full ingredients, (though I just use Penne, chicked, garlic, pesto source, courgettes and grated cheese)

Ingredients

250g Dried pasta shapes

150g Chicken

1 Onion, finely chopped

2 Cloves of garlic

1 Green pepper

100g Mushrooms

1 Jar of pesto verde

100g Grated cheese

Method

- Fry the onion and garlic lightly in any excess oil from the pesto.

- Cook pasta according to package. Drain and set aside.

- Slice the chicken thinly and add to the onion, fry until the chicken is cooked through.

- Chop the pepper and add to the chicken.

- Slice the mushrooms and add to the chicken. - - Fry for about 5 minutes, until the pepper has softened.

If the food is sticking to the pan add a little water rather than oil, the steam will act like oil, but without the calories.

- Add the pesto to the chicken, and mix thoroughly.

- Drain the pasta, and add the chicken mix. Stir thoroughly.

Serve immediately, with the grated cheese melting on top.

^ I know.

Che - I'm glad you rediscovered your nick btw. Quick dishes for me are:

- Variations of cheese-on-toast (different cheeses, veggies, base sauces etc)

- Omelettes

- Stir-fries

You don't even need recipes as you can make them any way you like.

-3 eggs

-1/4 cup milk

-Half an onion

-one tomato

-Small can of Tuna.

Heat up the frying pan (no stick with no oil is best).

Chop up the onion and tomato.

Beat the eggs (minus the shells of course) in a bowl, add the 1/4 cup milk for texture and salt.

Once its Pan is hot and the eggs are well mixed, pour into pan and stir. After about 30 seconds add your tomato and onions and keep stirring.

Once the eggs start to brown, add the tuna and turn off the stove. Stir until you have a the tuna well dispersed.

Serve with Ceesh, Bread, canjeero. Or place in a bagel for a an easy take-out lunch.
