Kool_Kat

Ok, this is my fav quotes from my mom...

-When she feels disrispected... "this is A Canada, waaye miyaa waxa saan loo suubinaatyo"

-When she is fed up... "Alla yaa ticket ii gooyo, kuwaan arageyga ee ku diimi lahaayeen"

-When she is mildly upset... "Markaan adi kule ekaa caruur iyo guri baan lahaa, maxaa isu caruureeneysaa"

-When she's moderately upset... "Ciisaa bidiini, wa muusaa bidiini"... I think that's the cutest one...

-When she's extremely upset... "Ani waa yaabee kuwaan feelalkood ilaah maka dhumay, inkaarkasto intee ka martaa"...

Ok, enough about my momma, I love her to death...

The famous quote of my Stepdad... "Maaladukaato waryaa"...

"Allah yaaku arka adoo reer leh"

this is my dad "muxuu wiilku dheeryahay haday wadato hawsheeda" luv ya dad :D

"allah inaan haan iska tosho baa ii dhaantay markaan dhalay tan"

mahdi-

parents have their own distinct ways to warn their children when they have done something so stupid that isn't actually good for their kids.

So let me tell you something about this issue.

When the situation turned so sirious...they used to say..

"waryaa Najis baad tahaye, waa maxay waxan aad samaynaysaayi!! :D --- Duqa

"alla kan maxaan ku khasaaray! Dadnimo ma laha kani" ---- ....M...

"war Sactimoole yahaw aniga juuq ha ii celin AHBAl baad tahaye!!! (this is when Mam is seriously got mad)

If we did something wrong, He(the Father) often used to please us rather than using vulgar language in front of us...

"Aabbe, i dhageysta, waxaan idiin sheegayaa, in aan idin canaanto ma wanaagsana, marka waxaa loo baahan yahay inaad caqligiina idinka oo kaashanaya aad iska daysaan xumahan iyo baadilnimadan aad ku jirtaan....."

Legend of Z...

Looooooool

"Yataa Baati kuqushaaaha"

hahahhaah I guess that is an Amharic language man! which is spoken from Ethiopia, the land of illiterate people :D .. but I totally forgot the real meaning of that quotation. Waxaanse u malaynayaa inay u dhiganto..sidan...

"Doqon yahaw wax ma garadka iyo qashinka ahi"

walaahi I'm not that sure sxb. I can't convey it's real meaning and what it stands for since I'd been there for only a half-year, but the quotation is Amharic for sure

Haneefah

Legend..lol...I don't think u wanna know what "yata bataa" means cuz it's a bit deep but i'll tell u anyways..uhm...it basically means garac ...many parents use it just cuz they like the tone, obviouly no parent would mean it literally. As for qushaasha, as mire said, means qushaash baad tahay!

It's funny what parents come up with when they're mad.
