Ethiopia is a joke. If you are going to lie, tell something closer to the truth.

Abiy is slowly becoming a despot. There is nothing more cruel and unforgivable than hiding the truth about such a devastating disease spreading in your country.

Ethiopia is run by part-time pastors. They think the Lord will protect them.

Eastern (2,113; 46; 401): Djibouti (732; 2; 76), Eritrea (35; 0; 0), Ethiopia (105; 3; 16), Kenya (262; 12; 60), Madagascar (117; 0; 33), Mauritius (324; 9; 108), Rwanda (143; 0; 65), Seychelles (11; 0; 5), Somalia (116; 5; 2), South Sudan (4; 0; 0), Sudan (62; 10; 5), Tanzania (147; 5; 11), Uganda (55; 0; 20)

Country or region (first number is infected, second number is dead, third number is recovered)

Of course they are not testing. The Ethiopian numbers make total sense now.

Both Eritrea and Ethiopia have high density, very low technology and educational development, poor diet, lack of enough food, ...yet their reporting does not make sense if you consider them as part of the system. It only make sense when one realizes that Eritrea is most likely just the capital and Ethiopia case about 50% of its land mass has not included in any reporting.

The current WHO Director, who has been accused of being a puppet for China, may actually unravel Ethiopia's cover up.

Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the director general of the World Health Organization, was accused in 2017 of "covering up three cholera epidemics in his home country, Ethiopia, when he was health minister,"...

Very unfortunate that South Sudan is the least prepared in the Horn of Africa. Aqoonsigu haduu wax taraayo kuwan ayuu wax u tari lahaa.

we might even have already herd immunity back home.

Someone who was in Hargeisa in middle of February told me that he met people who left China in late January and he heard a lot of people suffering Wuhan Virus symptoms. He said he even heard people with pneumonia and high fever, and some has described it as the typical " Kaduudiye" decease.

Some people might have already died without knowing the virus while others had recovered while assuming the disease was some strain of  flu.

@galbeedi

Kuduudiye is different. The outbreak began in Burao back in Aug and peaked around November last year. My own uncle who visited Burco around October contracted it and when he came to Hargeisa he was diagnosed as "Chickungya fever".

Besides, WHO is still not sure about herd-immunity with regards to Corona Virus. They have had a number of people who recovered but then got it again. But still under active investigation.

You could be right.

The virus case in Borama had recovered. I heard after 14 days the young man  was out even playing soccer. So far only five cases in Somaliland.

Interesting statement Suldanka. Giving up on “aqoonsi”?

One common thing that south Sudan shares with Somaliland is extremely high tribalism the hate between the main tribes is high and the only thing that united them was the enemy Which was the  North Sudan but once that enemy was gone ayaga isku soo laabtay

The same with Somaliland one thing that is uniting them now is the enemy Which South Somalia but once they're given the independent believe me wey is cunayaan

kkkk

Surely, you live in a different dimension and world than the one we are living. :D

There are more people die in Somalia in a week than die in Somaliland in a year from tribal/clan wars. Go figure.

But each death in Somaliland has value and is talked about for weeks end. Where in Somalia, it doesn't even register in the local conversation, let alone igniting a national debate.

With regards to South Sudan, it is like giving your son a new car without giving him driving lessons and him getting a license.
