Isnt the whole idea of making a resolution for a new year un-islamic, since most of you seem to be thinking of doing good deeds for yourselves and others? And we all know what Muhammad (SCW) said about imitating Kuffaar. Come on. Muslim is one that reflects on him/herself all the time. Hadeeth was "Xaasabuu anfusakum, qabla an tuxaasabuu" meaning, "count yourself before you been counted by Allah, the ultimate Judge" One of you had this saying at the bottom of his post, something like this: "Freedom...we are all slaves, but the burning question is who are we slaves for?" something like that....I think the answer is so obvious to a muslim...NONE OTHER THEN THE MIGHTY ALLAH.
