There are two flights  every day and all will be quarantined. Passengers have to pay the cost of quarantine.

Since you were so generous enough as to tell us what sort of "Aqli" we are dealing with in here when it comes to the latest instruction from Somaliland's government, could you care to tell us then as to the sort of "Aqli" we should count on to get it from your "average cheap Moor-Yaan" of the sort you and your ilks happens to be. And in-terms of what you lot are laden with in thinking sense.

Let me guest and say it could be the sordid "Aqli" that had "pioneered" the notion of becoming a teeming scrap-merchants and looters of their own grandmother's knickers, at least in terms of what their best and their brightest minds could cobbled together in "thinking-wise".

Or it could be the thinking that convinced a teeming number of them to be the foot-soldiers for the likes of Al-Shabaab's misfits of this world, who in turn are the sort of folks who are ready to blow themselves up, and do so to Kingdom's come, along with their dearest and nearest kin and kith of them within their own city of Mogadishu.

Hence, the pertinent question in here is which of the two respective "Aqli" in which we have before us, has the likely ability to give birth to a "decent wisdom", and to the sense of being closer to a "dignified conduct". And which one will not be able to do that at all. Of course, mate, I will leave it to you to tell us in here as to which is which.

  • Haha - That was funny. You made me laugh! 1

Here is the video massage from the government in-terms of the Precaution measures to fight this Epidemic:

And here is the "Quarantine Center", which is adjacent to the Hargeisa's Egal International Airport.

26th March

The first day of mandatory quarantine for all fly-in travellers gets enforced. There were few glitches regarding the accommodations, but that is being worked on with a number of receiving Hotels and Apartment owners.

It is thought congregational prayers at a mosque in Stockholm is responsible for the spread of the disease among Somalis. Now is the time the Somaliland government does the sensible thing and close all the mosques in the country.

I have a feeling that wholly "needed step" will be announced pretty soon by this Corona-Virus Epidemic committee. Especially once Minister Mr Kaliil (our religious Affairs Minster), who is a member of this same committee takes a "sounding" of this issue from some of the serious and the learned Ulumas of our land, namely, the like Sheikh Siiro, Sheikh Dirir, Sheikh Ali Jowhar, and Sheikh Mustafe Harun.

Talaabo,

their reluctance to shut down Masjids among Somalis is based on ignorance.

We have authentic Hadiths that order people to avoid plague, cholera or other deadly diseases. The Prophet said, " No one should leave and no one should enter plague hit lands"

Who has the courage and tell the public that the Masjids will be closed?

Suldaanka,

That really is a good news, indeed. What is also even better will be if they were to establish a roaming and roving in the country "mobile test team" consisting of nurses and other auxiliary health-care workers, so that you can do a test of "random sample" of the population from each village, from each district, from each town (of all six regions).

For that way at least we will have some kind of "sample data" to work with it in-terms of knowing how wide-spread this virus actually is, if and when it strikes our land. Which should be by now the forgone conclusion that it will happen (if it's not already there), and therefore that should be the working and the on-going "epidemiology assumption" on the part of the country. Since all of our neighboring countries in our region had already declared that such virus is in their countries.

And remember all you need is temperature measuring hand-held devices (which is very cheap to buy-up or to purchase it since it cost less than 100 dollars), the "swap sticks" to take the sample with, and the genetic analyzer machine ( i.e., RT-PCR) to which to analyse the sample that was taken from the people, back at the laboratory. Which means the "swaps sticks" are easy to obtain it in a "bulk purchase" sort of way from the world markets, and they are also very cheap as well.

However the analyzer machine ( RT-PCR) may be bit difficult to obtain it now given that the whole world is trying to get their hands on this kind of desperate needed equipment. But saving grace in here is that you don't need that many of them in-terms of the "population density" in which we currently have in Somaliland.

Also the good news is that the likes of Taiwan who have already established a "working relationship" with Somaliland's Ministry of Health can help us to easily get these testing machines from them. Given that they actually manufacture them unlike many other western's nations. And remember Taiwan had effectively did far better job in containing, testing and tracing this virus through its population in more effective ways than many other country around the world ever did, even China. Hence, such needed equipment as a laboratory machines can be gotten out from them. Provided our Ministry of Health and the government's Corona-Virus Task force get in touch with them ASAP.

Hence, all you have to do is send few of those analyzer RT-PCR machines (say five machines per city, for example) to six "designated" central hospitals in which each is located at one of the six major cities of the country. And then say all the "sample swaps" that are taken from each village, hamlet, district and from the each major town of each region by the "mobile test team" will be analyse at that specific regional hospital.

And that should be done, as I said it, because we can't do a massive test of whole country, hence, this method will give us a rough idea of how deep and wide the spread of this virus is in each region of the country. And then from that "sample data" we can extrapolate the total aggregate numbers of those who are "positive cases" of COVID-19 across the whole of the population. This really can be done if the task force put their minds to it.

Citation of a reputable news source is needed in here. Not the say so of some fellow on Facebook. I am sure of it that you will able to manage to get it for us if any of it is true. So happy hunting I say.

This picture below is the most important testing kit, which is the similar version of the RT-PCR molecule analyzer machine I was talking about in my previous post, in which you need to have it in-order to test it COVID-19. It's not that expensive, but you need at least few dozens of them (in terms of the density of our population in Somaliland). And Taiwan makes them and manufactures them abundantly in their millions.

Of course, the China (i.e., PRC) also manufacture them. But they will only sell to you as urgent basis if WHO had already pre-cleared your purchase of them. And since we are not recognize State, it's unlikely that WHO will be telling the PRC to sell to us on a urgent basis in this trying time in which each nation is desperately trying to get its hand on these machines, which are portable and easy to use across all environmental and weather condition.

However, we can still get it, even for free from Taiwan. And we should do that as soon as possible. And then spread it across the country by way of given a few dozens of this kind of machines to each regional hospital of the six regional's capital so that the "mobile testing team" (once they are establish) can use it to know the depth of the infection across the regions from a "sample data" and the likely variation there could be between regions.
