President Bihi On His Government's Effort On The Corona-Virus Epidemic Crisis.

Recommended Posts

Somaliland has its problems  sure there are areas we could do much better. But as Oodweyne put it where we started in 1991.  And where we are now We really started from zero. If we manage our resources well every citizen of Somaliland can have a minimum income  that should be the goal.  We are only 3.5 to 4 people people.

It looks to me that we have in here is nothing but an Aljazeera's Qatar cheap political advertisement for N&N gang in Villa Somalia.

One wonders if this reporter ever thought to bother himself to go places like Somaliland. But since he said it that this is the lone COVID-19 hospital of all of Somalia, he may actually mean that in what was known as South only. Given that several (both private and public) hospitals have been readied up in Somaliland to take any COVID-19 patients within the country.

And that, in turn, would have given him a different perspective in terms of the level of preparedness for this virus across the Somali peninsula, altogether, if he ever wanted to know things of this sort, which I do doubt it.

Anyway back in the real world outside of the silly propaganda for Villa Somalia's gang and their paid media stooges, here below in Somaliland's minister of finance issuing the needed tax exemption for small businesses and tax relief for all importers of food and stable diets.

USADF funds 100 bed dedicated COVID19 treatment centre.

Dr. Ahmed Esa managing Director of Daryeel Hospital Hargeisa actually did his Ph.D dissertation on Coronavirus animal model. He is very well versed with the virus' origins and Somaliland is grateful to have people with such knowledge serving the public.

Quote

"Realizing Somaliland was ill-prepared and had no treatment centers to combat COVID-19, IPRT, in support of the Somaliland government, converted ATU- Daryeel Hospital into a dedicated COVID-19 treatment center.

Quote

IPRT, under the leadership of Director Dr. Ahmed Esa, had the requisite knowledge to combat the coronavirus. For his Ph.D. dissertation, Dr. Esa worked on a coronavirus animal model and had kept abreast of the latest research on the virus. As soon as the novel coronavirus began spreading in China, Dr. Esa started writing in the mass media about it to warn the public about the impending danger of the deadly virus’ spread to other countries."

Somaliland President says previously all COVID19 cases in Somaliland were related to imported cases. But the first community transmitted case was recorded in Somaliland which is a cause for concern.

The President has declared Somaliland has entered the start of a new phase in the fight against COVID19.

^^^ I agree, we should put them up on trucks and send them off to Ethiopia, given that no one from the international community (IC) is going to come to help them. Also, there is another problem, which is that in places like Sanaag (Ceerigaabo, to be precise), and Togdheer, particularly Burco, we have lots and lots of "itinerant day-labors" who do most of the cheap menial jobs in those places and in those cities. And these folks are mostly "Gudhuu-Eelaay" from Bay and Bakool regions of Somalia.

And I suspect, that, these folks will soon be demanding some sort of a social service from Somaliland, since there are no more of the kinds of "menial-day-jobs" in which they used to do that is going on in those places and in those cities, anymore.

Hence, the government should organize some sort of an approach to deal with this "social and public health emergency" in which these large scales "hungry immigrants" can pose to the public, if they are not somehow being attended to in terms of their daily needs.

Some day soon it will all come to this kind. Blame game will be in full swing. The big powers are into it and the small guys will follow.

America and China are now in open and full blown blame game.

Abiy is very reckless, since he is weak and not well heeled in the community he says he represents, the Oromo.

Farmaajo and Co. will try to take full advantage of it, but in the end Djibouti and Somaliland will come out better, since patience and time is on their side.

Coronavirus is a problem which solution lies in the outside world. All Africans can do is learn, acquire some of the tools and techniques. Somaliland seems to be doing well in that regard.

Djibouti is mixed bug between herd immunity and doing something with Chinese help.

Ethiopia is in herd immunity not by choice, but by incompetence and capacity. The government does not have control in half of the country.
