The tourism potential is immense in Somaliland. It ticks all of the boxes required.

Safety factor✔

 People + Country

Environmental factors ✔

Good climate,  from sauna to autumn cool

Beautiful scenery,  beaches, forests, mountains, flatlands, sand dunes, waterfalls, desert islands etc.

Socio-economic factors ✔

Accommodation, Accessibility, Amenities

Historical and cultural factors, ✔

Many ancient world civilizations have left their mark on this area, a connection facilitated by the region’s strategic location.

The diaspora Somalilanders are key to taking the country to the next level. Invest, promote, debunk and demystify!

African Development Bank gives green light to the building of the Djibouti - Borama - Jigjiga. A very important corridor very important for Djibouti - Somaliland and Somali Regional State.

What began as a single thread has woven itself into a prestigious carpet. Thankyou Mama Edna Adan.

Year 2000: 1 nurse per 20,000 , 1 doctor per 50,000

Year 2020: 1 nurse per 2,000, 1 doctor per 10,000

Year 2030: 1 nurse per 500, 1 doctor per 2,000

Camel leasing was the brainchild of Somalilander from Canada. He became so successful with this new idea of leasing milking shecamels from nomads and in return giving them a guaranteed monthly income. It is a win win.

Now the idea has taken off with USAID now promoting beyond Somaliland or Somalia.

Still no development of the Berbera cement plant? As there is no shortage of funds in the country to build that factory, the ridiculous clan rivalry is in the way I guess.

President Muse Biixi gets a welcome home fit for a King.

This is such an irresponsible thing for the president of the county to do. We are in the middle of a dangerous pandemic yet this man is encouraging the ignorant people to disregard their own safety and clap for him crowded tightly in their thousands. It means all the measures they put in place to control the disease including the closure of schools and mosques are less important than "the parade of the president". No wonder why Somaliland is now epicenter of pandemic in the Somali peninsula.
